The food here is simply amazing. Just basic German food, done really, really well, with good beer in a nice cozy space. You musty make a reservation, and they do have English menus, but you hay have to ask. The meal for 4 is fantastic, (and could feed six) and the apple strudel is also the best you will ever... More

I went there to have dinner and, although it was already late, they received me with a smile and they prepare a table for me. And the food was really good. I order the sausages, but from what I saw from the people around everything looked delicious and the rations were generous (mine was). And the waitress was a total... More

I was solo so ended up eating at the bar - I would prefer a table but it was very busy. English menu provided and all the staff spoke good English Pea soup was not as thick as Dutch Erwtensoep (the spoon would not stand up unassisted in it) but it was still tasty and full of peas with some... This was our second visit. The food was amazing, especially the "handcheese with music" starter. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the decor is great. I would recommend booking beforehand as it was very busy, but I cannot wait until I am next in Frankfurt to visit here again

We had lunch and I ordered the hunter's schnitzel, which was a thinly breaded pork filet and a cream gravy with mushrooms on top of a bed of perfectly cooked spaetzle. We were lucky to be seated, they are booked full even for lunch, get a reservation. They had local beers and the service was very friendly to us non-German... More

The meals are all quite large but totally delicious. Loved it so much ate here twice. The schnitzels are the best I have ever eaten. Also fabulous atmosphere. Do book as it can be hard to get in

We went for dinner at Klosterhauf as we wanted to eat some local food and this place didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to score the last table despite it being 5.30pm on a Wednesday evening so make sure you book if you can! We had the schnitzel topped with cheese and ham- it was lovely! House beer was good... More

Frankfurt is buttoned up pretty tight on a Sunday, so when it came time for dinner we turned to Trip Advisor to suggest something. We were pleased with our choice. It isn't a big place, but it was busy. We sat on their garden porch with heaters and enjoyed a huge plate of schnitzel. Staff was friendly and helpful, food... More
