If you want to try apfelwein and traditional German (frankfurter) food, go or it! Portions are big and cheap - mostly, big chunks of meat, cabbage, potato, etc. Not much options for vegetarians are available. Wagner is big and crowded, and operates like manufacturing unit....More

This little gem is unsuspecting on a Main Street, made known only by a little travel book I have and also a local friend’s suggestion. We skipped breakfast and had an early lunch there. It was dead when we arrived just before 12 which turned...More

My father and I were stuck in Sachsenhausen towards late afternoon (3 pm), having done a lengthy walk around Frankfurt’s old town area. We were searching all over for an authentic German restaurant, when a local lad on the street recommended a restaurant 100 meters...More

The barista at a coffee shop told us to come here for dinner, that it's a place a lot of tourists visit but also many locals because of how good the food is. She was right! The portions were absolutely massive—and delicious. Big shared benches,...More

We only stopped for a couple of beers but the dishes coming out of the kitchen seemed to be superb... especialle the Schweinhaxe( pig’s knuckle). Shots of gin with small apples are served at the end of the meal (or before sometimes :) )

No brainer is a must in Frankfurt but it is too touristic and crowded, noisy and warm Good Haxe, Snitchel and German cuisine, Apfelwein specialist, traditional decoration, perhaps one of Frankfurt's attractions for younger or oder people, but not the best in town.

In our first visit in Frankfurt, we decided to eat at this restaurant, as it appears in many Frankfurt guides. Definitely a must for anyone visiting the city and actually I saw that the locals frequent it too. The food is delicious and you get...More

A warm welcome to Wagner! In “Dribbdebach“, as we call the part of Frankfurt south of the River Main, in the beautiful Sachsenhausen district, our restaurant awaits you with the traditional atmosphere of Frankfurt’s apple wine culture. This is the place to get together with friends, acquaintances, business partners as well as travelers from all over the world in order to have a glass of apple wine (a “Schoppen”, as it is called) and other specialties which are typical of Frankfurt. Stop by and enjoy the unique atmosphere. We are looking forward to seeing you!
