Food was really great, a blend of European and Asian. Very decent portions, good service and wine list. Grat location at the top of Schweizer Str.

A great spot on the river and next to the Weltkulturen Museum. This restaurant does not disappoint. There are NOT a ton of options on the menu (there is a price fix option) but the food is fantastic. They open you with a complimentary, and very small veggie start that is great. I started with the tuna tarter for first... More

Absolutely top austrian Cousine - in my view could have a star. Excellent wine selection. I had 6 People there for dinner and everyone was absolutely charmed. Prices are in line with quality and excellent experience there. Treat it as a reasonably priced one star Restaurant and you will not think about the Prices twice. Will go back.

I went to this place because I sat near couple who knew the chef. Well, they said it's expensive, and it is. One glass of really good Riesling was 12euros, the whole bill was 50, my dining alone and choosing carefully. No cocktail. Included was splendid bread and unusually splendid butter. The (free) amuse-bouche was red cabbage (how deutsch can... More

- Service is very poor and some staff members extremely arrogant - Food is okay, but cannot make up for the bad service

Taken by a family member who is the renowned Chef at Chalet 18 and his recommendation was to try the Schnitzel. It was the best ever schnitzel I have had ( and I have had 100's!!) Expensive but worth every single penny. For dessert we(4) shared a Kaiserschmarrn (the schnitzel was filling) Absolutely phenomenal, one of those desserts that your... More

We visited Lohninger on a Saturday night after having booked in advance. The food, ambience and service did not disappoint. My husband and I both had the ravioli starter which was a perfect balance of flavors and literally melted in your mouth. We both then had fish for the main course - miso salmon with the fluffiest, creamiest, delicious mashed... More

Excellent family run Austrian restaurant, short but very interesting menu. I had a beef tartare and a tasty gulasch with spätzle as main, both great, as the Wiener schnitzel. We tried interesting austrian wines, both white and red, my preference going to the whites. Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere and service.

We were the only ones in t-shirts (everyone else seems to be on business lunches), but the service was welcoming and the food delicious

I have been here several times as it was actually recommended to be by an Austrian as the go-to place when in Frankfurt. A booking is highly recommended as staff really takes their time to pay full attention to your needs. I would say this restaurant is definitely a bit pricier (mid-range), so maybe something for the special occasion. The... More
