Small but very authentic Japanese restaurant - fresh food - friendly staff - very good lunch option - just 15 euro for a bento or sashimi full set with udon, salat, fruit, tea and sushi - yummi

I'm from LA and enjoy travel to Japan, so it is surprising, even to me, that a Top 10 global sushi place for me is this tiny, delightfully authentic experience in central Frankfurt. The omokase experience is not to be missed. I've eaten here half a dozen times in the past few years, but tonight felt compelled to share a... More

If you want the real stuff and not what you find on a moving belt or in the lower level of a store, then come here. Great food and nice service. Price is a bit higher but you get much higher quality. They have a picture book which made it much easier to order.

I visit Iwase-san since many years and it always reminds to a typical Japanese place. The food and service is excellent. You better have a reservation.

We went there during lunch because a friend of mine who lives in Frankfurt recommended the Iwase as the best Sushi in town. Well, there is nothing much to add. We booked a table beforehand since the Iwase is said do be well visited during lunch time. I can only recommend to book a table because the place was really... More

I go to Iwase about once a month and it never disappoints. espacially the sashimi is always very fresh and perfectly prepared and cut. It's hard to get a seat sometimes. But if you go there earlier in the evening and are food to sit at the bar you should be fine.

Iwase is small and very popular, so it is always difficult to get a place if you do not make a reservation in advance. If you go alone and are flexible you might be lucky. The service is amiable. The taste and quality of the Japanese soups and Sushi is extraordinarily good. The prices are high. So recommended for special... More
