The dishes are well served and they are very German style. The service was a bit slow, but it worth! We ordered Schinitzel and Wurst. Both were delicious. We were in Three and even with the beer we payed less than 60 euros.

Next to the old Rathaus in the main plaza, this retaurant is also known as Beethoven's waterhole. Very good typical German food in large portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. It has become one of our favorite restaurants to bring out of tiwn guests.

A Sunday evening in Bonn. My wife wanted eat at a Beer House and selected the Hoettche because of its supposed connection to Beethoven, apparently he used to frequent it. Unfortunately it was totally destroyed by bombing during the second world war. It has been restored apparently to the original state. Our feeling was that the result seemed artificial and... More

This was once Beethoven's watering hole! Though it was pretty much completely destroyed by Allied bombing in WWII, it was rebuilt to resemble its appearance. The restaurant itself dates back to the 14th century and is right off the town square. Do NOT miss an opportunity to eat here! The staff is extremely friendly, and the beer list is to... More

We came in for drinks, but after looking at the menu, decided to stay for dinner. Dinner was good value, 2 glasses of Kolsch, a glass of Ahr-valley red wine, 2 half-litre glasses of Hefe-weizen and two mains for less than 50€. The menu is a typical bier haus menu, with lots of pork dishes such as the Schweinshaxe (roasted... More
