This place is shamefully bad - food bad, expensive, staff bad, very rude. There are many better typical German pubs in Cologne nearby that are two thirds the price and much better quality. Everything here seemed deep fried (yuck)!

We went here for dinner on a Friday evening, ordered two Brauhausschnitzel (€16,90), a Kölsch and a red wine. I took just one sip of my wine and immediately noticed it had oxidised. It wasn't corked, just oxidised from exposure to air for too long....More
I ran into this place strolling around in Köln after I have been driving 750 km and it was just what I needed. I was there in the asparagus season which is always a pleasure in Germany, and I got a very nice Tarte Flambee...More

Several visits to this place when near Neumarkt. Excellent, typical German bar with lots of dark wood and traditional decorations. Excellent . welcoming and helpful service. Great Kolsch and excellent range of snacks and other German specialities.

Had an excellent "Jägerschnitzel" (schnitzel in a mushroom cream sauce). Not at all expensive for the quality. This is one of my regular stops when I visit Cologne.

We came here after a day of strolling through the Christmas markets. It took some time to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. There were some free tables but the only choice we got was a table at the far end of...More
