As several others have mentioned on here the level of service was poor to the point of insulting. I visited this restaurant with a customer and two other colleagues of mine. We made a spontaneous visit to this place based on it having a an overall 4* review and although the food was fine it was completely let down by... More

This is the third time to Collinas but have to say I was disappointed and likely not to return. The waiter was extremely grumpy to the point of being rude. I had the grilled medallions of veal - over salted and overcooked despite asking to be cooked "medium". My colleagues were asked how they wanted their meat cooked though when... More

What is it about single women in restaurants that makes the staff want to rush them through their meal as quickly as possible before they are spotted by any other diners? This was the case here. Although the food wasn't bad. A huge green salad arrived as a starter followed by a plate of fairly pedestrian spinach ravioli (the only... More

After a long day at the Koelnmesse, we needed some good Italian food, and Collina's provided. The food was good - we enjoyed the starter (ham with cream cheese - a German rather than an Italian starter, but it was good). The fish soup was not bad. The Monk fish was tasty, and the entrecote was juicy and nice. The... More

Average Italian food in a restaurant that could best be described as ok . The food was very average no complaints but nothing to write home about. However is in a country where the don't have a good food tradition so it's doing ok. Young lady who served me was top of the class . Wine was the best part... More

We came by Collinas totally by chance, we found ourselves wandering round the old town part of Köln looking for someone nice to eat. My girlfriend looked at the menu outside and decided to go in and see if there was a table in this busy restaurant. We were promptly seated, but then offered a better table when one became... More

Given location next to the Dom with abundance of touristy, overpriced, poor quality options, Collina's really stands out. I was in Cologne on business for week and this was easily my best find.

This place is ranked far too low for the quality of food. In general, in the city centre so close to the Cathedral, you'll mainly find tourists trap serving schnitzels and beer. All that's fine if you're in a group and want to do the touristy thing. But if you're looking for a decent meal, with very good quality and... More

Welcomed by friendly staff. Had fresh tuna with vegetable garnish and a bottle of water €29, which in my opinion was overpriced, but I guess the location being near the Cathedral has something to do with it.

Arrived in Cologne, many years since last visit. Concierge at Mondial recommended and we followed his suggestion. Lovely meal, scallops were superb, entrecote and veal mains great, tiramisu just right and a great grappa to finish. Go no further if you like Italian cooking as it should be just make sure you book. Well done
