It is the place for mussels in cologne imo. Mussels are in their regular menu. So. I supposed that mean good, plump mussels are available all year round. Yes, the mussels are fat, tender and flavourful. They come in few types of sauces but I like the one with white wine, eight types of herbs, garlic and butter. I could... More

Very good German food! Don't expect anything from the decor or the service. It's quick, functional, good value - everything you would expect from a real German kneipp...

If you like mussels you have to come and eat here. And if you want a try at real German food, feel free to eat here as well! You'll get more than enough food and the price is reasonable for what you get. Great service, but the only problem here, you cannot make a reservation. You have to come and... More

This wonderful restaurant was located a few blocks from our apartment and we enjoyed dinner there sitting street side and watching the traffic go by. The entree's were delicious, the service excellent. I had the mussel soup which was quite delicious, my spouse had veal which she enjoyed.

During our several days trip to Cologne, we found this place and have dinner every single day of our stay. The menu offers a lot of different dishes, so everyone can find to their taste. n additional, you receive you food in 5-10 min (mussels can take a bit longer) and you can be back on your way to explore... A nice typical German dinner atmosphere. Quick service. Typically you would try the mussels there, but give the potato soup and the goulasch soup a try. They are both excellent

The four of us who visited this restaurant, all tried different mussel dishes. We were served by a lovely waitress who helped with translation. Although very busy nothing was too much trouble. The portion sizes were rather large but we were all happy with that! Beer went down well with the mussels. Not expensive for the quality of food either.

Though quite busy on a Sunday, I stumbled across this establishment looking for a late evening dinner. Seated in a busy area, I was able to order my schnitzel. Quite tasty and filling. The mushroom sauce was to die for. However, I think this establishment was noted for its clams, since many of the patrons has ordered them. Maybe next... More
