The restaurant is located in Ehrenfeld. One of the multi-cultural quarters of Cologne, a little Turkish though. Parking in front is sparse. The interior is decorated with a lot of wood with pottery and brass stuff. The menu is not lengthy and lists most of the Cologne specialities. The wine menu has the same length. The food and the wine... More

Every time we go to Cologne we make sure to eat here at least once. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff treats us like family. Typical German cuisine at its finest. It is always a highlight of our trip! You can't go wrong no matter what you order.

Warm welcome and delicious traditional German food. The smoked salmon with potato pancakes for starter was divine, the goose leg main course even better! Exactly what we were looking for.

Strolled into Haus Scholzen for a quick and simple dinner and was blown away! They dished out authentic German food which tasted great and the bar served a great variety of beer. Would definitely recommend this place for visitors to Cologne craving good German cuisine! The only caveat is that the menu is fully in German.

We visited for a New Year's Eve Dinner. The restaurant was very busy of course but both our servers took as much time as needed to patiently explain to us every item on the menu in english with good humour . The food and drink was excellent and at a very reasonable price - absolutely no profiteering because it was... More

This is an astonishing restaurant, packed out and efficient(but in a friendly way!) Goose is the speciality for this time of the year and we were also guided by our friends to have the steak tartare and black pudding starter as an introduction to a typical German meal. Well, the steak tartare was just superb and the black pudding came... More
