This restaurant was a surprise hidden at the museum Zeche Zollern. It was the best meal we had during our trip to the Dortmund area! Nice atmosphere and a kids meal was available! A definite must! Plan to eat there before or after your museum...More

Great food, friendly service. Recommended. Was very quiet when we were there are ter the museum was closed. Almost gave up thinking it was closed, but when we sneaked in the out gate we found it to be open and in full swing.

Good local food, friendly service though somewhat distant, but the general atmosphere is cosy enough.

This is a little gem. Inside of the LWL Zeche Zollern Museum there is the old horse stable. A quaint restaurant offering local foods. So if you want to try some delicacies of the Ruhr area like black pudding, Currywurst etc then this is a...More

The Pferdestall is located on the premises of a colliery museum - which in itself is definitely worth the visit - and when you're there, don't miss the Pferdestall, even if it's only for a cup of coffee. The interior is charming and beautiful, true...More

There was once a farm here, but then came the industrial age, and the Zollern mineshaft was dug at this spot. This period also came and went, leaving an impressive industrial monument and, next to it, the old stable of the original farm. The place offers today's visitors not grass and hay, but delicious German and international cuisine. Fresh meal choices every day ensure variety, but the Pferdestall is particularly well known for its Westphalian delicacies. The restaurant sits 100 guests, and there is room for a further 60 on the terrace. The restaurant also has its own beer garden, which sits up to 220 guests. Wedding ceremonies can be held in the old colliery administration room with the special backdrop behind. You can also hold company functions in the halls of the museum.
