Recently visited for lunch as we fancied Italian cuisine and this was one of the higher rated restaurants of that kind on TripAdvisor. It's a small rustic type place with tables both inside and outside the restaurant with heat lamps along the whole of the outside area. There was no English menu just a handwritten Italian/German one and the waiters... More

Situated on the edge of the Old Town, San Leo has been serving delicious food for many years. The hand written menu offers a wide choice from basic pasta to exotic fish and meat dishes (the rabbit is especially good). Service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is fairly small, offering tables inside and outside in a pedestrianised street. Reservations... More

Real Italian place. Quite place away from the noisy altshtat... The sea food antipasti was actually a full meal in 3 separate plates! Some hot serves mussels and a variety of shrimp, caviar and more! Really generous. For main i had veal with steamed vegies and for desert I had the Tartuffe that was ok.

When you've had your fill of sausage and other big meat options that Germany has to offer go find this little Italian restaurant. Unspectacular frontage in the heart of the old town but don't be fooled into thinking this is not a really good authentic little Italian. Open kitchen so you can see fresh preparation. Starter of Carppacio was excellent... More

From arrival to departure, this was an authentic experience. As walking in to a restaurant in a small italian village, being served amazing food all the way. You just have to go and have the experience yourself. Remember to bring cash and italian parlor.

Had lunch with my wife here. Bumped into it at a quieter ally in the center. Although decoration of the restaurant was very basic the place was packed. There was a reason for that, the food! Honest food with fresh ingredients. All for a very reasonable price.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Düsseldorf. Everything here is homemade and very delicious. Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and pear are so delicious, that you will never forget it.

After store hours, this alley is a bit off trail, but San Leo is a real find. Inside the restaurant all is rather simple, however the food is truly excellent, and the waiters are helpful. Not cheap, but not expensive either - good value really. We had a very tasty and honest pulpo with fennel, and a delightfully succulent osso... More
