We had been there with a group of ten, the food was really good (all of the dishes), but the service was rather slow, even though the place wasn't really packed. Still, it is a place you might visit if you are not starving

We had dinner at Gansedieb, close to where we were staying and have not been disappointed. The Goose leg and the fish were tasty, efficient and friendly service and good beer on tap. A solid end to a snowy day in Dresden.

We had an excellent lunch here on New Years Eve. The goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings (one of the dishes of the week) was cooked to perfection: a traditional German dish cooked to bring out the flavours and textures of the ingredients without being heavy. We have eaten here before on previous trips to Dresden, but the cooking... More

Upon the recommendation of the employees at the Gewandhaus, we walked to this traditional German restaurant. Sat outside as the weather was nice, it was after dark so the candles and a few heaters were lit as well. Started with the house special goose soup, a delicious broth with veggies and small strips of lean goosemeat. The entrees were standard... More

The restaurant is a bit off the main square in a courtyard that seems to be full of various restaurants. We chose to sit outside as the weather was nice. After going through a pretty big menu options, we’ve chosen their specialty sausage, duck, schnitzel and fried fish (the latter two were of the kids menu – yes, they even... More

The menu states that "In case you have allergies, please ask the staff for help". We did so and asked about lactose-free dishes without garlic. the response was mindboggling. "We can't oder you anything!" and the waiter took away the menu and left. Well, we couldn't even order something to drink. it seems that everything is prepared and they don't... More

We were looking for a place to have some rest and eat! This place was just what we were looking for! The food was great (even though we would prefer bigger portions), on time and the price was good too. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

This is a modern building in a small square just off the Altmarkt so its less hectic than the Neumarkt. The menu offers traditional and other choices; we went for the more traditional pork knuckle and the saurbraten. Both were excellent especially accompanied by a nice Dornfelder wine. The service was friendly and attentive.
