Best single malt selection in Dresden. A great dark and smokey place with candle lights.Very friendly. They do not accept credit cards though.

Visited the Red Rooster back in October 2015 based on the reviews from others. This gem is non existing else where in Europe, here you can still smoke! I am not a smoker but it does bring something different to the atmosphere. Old pub with dark wood panels and good food plenty of beer choices on bottle or on tap... More

This pub has a lot of charm and a nice selection of beers and spirits. The down-side for me was the number of smokers. It reminded me of how much I hate to be in this stuff.

If you're a nonsmoker, you won't like the Red Rooster as it caters to smokers. There is an outdoor seating area that's open during suitable weather. That said, their single malt scotch menu is impressive. The music is loud, unless there's a soccer match on. Their food is surprisingly good! And what can be said about the beer? It's German... This bar is on point. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The server even gave me a free drink for being such a great customer. If you make it to Dresden, Germany this is definitely a go to place.

The biggest assets of the pub are its courtyard and the rustic atmosphere. Patrons and other guests are sociable and communicative, which make for an entertaining atmosphere. The choice of drinks is alright, food is simple and tasty. The pub makes for a good evening out.

I arrived here nearly two hours before a Champions League match. Got a seat. Lots of reserved tables, but also plenty of other free seating. As soon as my friends arrived, half an hour before kick-off, we were asked to move. The barman who previously instructed me not to sit elsewhere now told me that the ostensibly free seats we... found the "red rooster" by accident when looking for a restaurant offering something to eat late night in surrounding of Dresden Jazzclub "Tonne". They have a good choice of food and drinks, staff was very friendly, ambience is very nice but: it's a smokers restaurant!

How this claims to be an Irish pub is beyond me, maybe because they have Guinness. This bar is dark and smokey. No a lot of atmosphere
