This is a historic restaurant in a very atmospheric building. I could just sit and admire the ceiling for hours. On top of that, the food and service were excellent. I'm looking forward to returning here soon.

Schiffergesellschaft always delivers. We were there on numeral occasions and good service, nice and neat food was the impression. We could recommend it for typical german specialities.
Outside view doesn't prepare you for the transformation inside - Tardisesque for all those Dr Who fans. Wood panelled walls and ceiling with sea relics of a bygone age. Tasty fish lunch - delicious and well presented, followed by an indulgent dessert ... mmm
I am traveling with my sister and several people suggested this restaurant. Food and wine was excellent, service was friendly and prompt and the historic atmosphere was amazing. Sitting at a communal table resulted in us meeting other tourists and having a great night out.
This place deserve the number 1 rating. We had an excellent meal, great wine and very attentive service. I had the "Duet"; red fish and coal fish, boiled potatoes and a salad. My wife had the roast pork. Both dishes were great. Beside good food...More
