The place had been recommended by a Spanish friend. What a delight. We had four tapas dishes, plenty of wine and beer and complimentary port and sweets. We paid 25Eu for the two us. It was great and the service friendly and helpful in spite of an important soccer match On the T V that had us all engrossed. WARNING......... More

This is a restaurants where locals go. There service was excellent and the food superb. Had fish (lenguado) and beef (loom salted) and they were both very good. Price is reasonable. They also serve a sweet house dessert wine for free. Great ambiance!

Looking through the door there were a lot of older locals eating here which boded well. We were served quickly but impatiently. The waiter seemed to want to choose for us. The bread was hard (50cents a piece). My soup (6 euro) was tasty but the veal cutlets were served without any flair, sauce or vegetables (12 euro). We noticed... More

We called to book a table a week ago, and when we got there (10 of us including grannys), in a very disrespectful way the Major stated that we did not call to book. Thankfully, we got a table and even the food was excellent, the waiter was so rude, asking for the drinks at the same time, not letting... More

just outside the city walls with its super touristy places we found this little gem, full of locals enjoying their sunday lunch .. the food was of very good quality and we enjoyed ourselves very much. it is not super cheap compared to other places but it is definitely worth it for the quality of the food and the atmosphere.

I think there were few tourists when we ate here. We had passed the restaurant several times on our return from the city and it always appeared full. So for our last night we paid a visit. We were welcomed immediately and told what we should eat! I am sure with good intent but we like to browse the menu... More

When we arrive, the restaurant was very busy. I thought.... The food must be really good. We wait 30 minutes to get a table, no problem if restaurant is highly recommended by Michelin's guide. My wife asked for a dish called " merluza supreme", my daughter asked for a dish called "Gallo with lemon" and I asked for " rabo... More

Friendly service combined with generous portions of authentically cooked local dishes, at reasonable prices - a winning combination. My 'ratatouille type' vegetable stew was incredibly sweet. rich and full of flavour, The house wine was very good too. At the beginning of my meal, small bread stick nibbles arrived with the basket which was loaded with warm fresh bread, and... More

This typical Cordobese tavern was recommended by the hotel receptionist and, as with her other recommendations, we were not disappointed! The waiter is quite a character and reeled off the day's specials as soon as we were seated. We had fresh prawns in garlic oil (delicious), cardoons in sauce (mmm!), fresh grilled tuna and a lovely potato salad. All beautifully... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant which is just next to the old city wall. While no one spoke English there was an English menu available. We were given complementary bread and slices of ham. We ordered fried cauliflower and egg plant chips. Both were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a ham dish which was enormous. Best to order just one... More
