We found this place ( on Trip Advisor) tucked away from the main tourist restaurant drag. It gets busy at breakfast time apparently but it's nice and quiet in the evening. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful, and the food and wine were superb. We chose a few tapas dishes- all very cheap but fantastic quality. We had fabulous... More

This cafe is attached to the Palacio Casa de los Leones. Close to the central market int eh centre of the town. Locals and visitors both visit.

Visited on the off chance for some lunch. Really surprised with the quality of the food, the service and especially the location. Tapas definitely recommended for a cheap lunch

Nicely located for us with good selection of sherry. We had some tapas and some desert - the desert menu was not that good. Closes too early and is closed during the siesta.

Best tinto de verano in town! Yummy tapas, try the croquettas and the 'potatoes with ibireco products' - really good! Waitress was so friendly and really knowledgable. We went every night we were here!

We were staying in the Casa Palacio de Los Leones next door to this bar/restaurant and they kindly gave us a voucher for a complimentary glass of sherry in El Bocoy. So in we went and ordered our glass of sherry together with a small tapa to keep us going till dinner later. Well suffice to say that although the... More

This lovely Tapas bar was reccomended as one of the best in Spain. I am not well acquainted enough with Spain to make such a sweeping statement but it is very good . During a week of very bad weather it was hard to judge its true ambiance hence the lower score . The food was simple but each Tapas... More

We enjoyed two evenings with different tapas each time and every one was good. Not your standard stuff but with a contemporary twist.. The Andalusion tomato and bread cold soup was fantastic and the cured salted tuna with cheese in green mustard and onion was really tasty. Some good wines on the list as well - in particular the white... More

My girlfriend and I were very fortunate to have stumbled across El Bocoy (cafe / restaurant / tapas bar), in a small side-street just off the top of the Calle Luna pedestrianised zone in El Puerto de Santa Maria. The restaurant is actually part of the Casa de los Leones tourist apartment building - separately listed in the accommodation section... More
