This is an inexpensive outdoor restaurant with an unbeatable view of the Alhambra. Most reviewers here seem to think that this should also mean great food and service. That is a ridiculous expectation. We paid 10 euros each for a 3 course menu del dia, the food was better than ok, but certainly not high quality. But you wouldn't expect... More

What a disappointment. This restaurant is in a lovely location. We were tired and the waitress welcomed us in. She then disappeared. We asked for the "4 tapas" menu (see picture), out of simplicity and curiosity. The tapas were: - cheese and ham (tiny quantity, but OK) - pork in rich sauce (good) - Aubergine in batter with what tasted... More

The staff here are hard working and super friendly. Food is good, beer is good, you cannot go wrong stopping here. Out of all of the restaurants on this street this is one of the best

Sadly, being from New Zealand, we can't afford to check TripAdvisor while we're out and about. We decided to have lunch at this restaurant because of its wonderful location. The food was mediocre at best and the service appalling. At one stage we wondered if our waiter was on drugs. I suggest if you end up in this area (we... More

It's so frustrating to see and experience poor hospitality. Particularly when everything else around you is so wonderful. I do wonder whether places like this realise how small the world is. Travel sites like this and many others can surely make or break a place. To simply rely on the next poor unsuspecting tourist to take up a table because... More

The site is excellent, with great views when sitting on the terrace. Has an advertised menu del dia, with a good choice, but had to ask for the menu, the a la carte only being on the table. Food average and reasonable value. Probably best for a coffe or drink to soak up the situation.

Rick Steves was right...this restaurant and others in the plaza serve food that is "mediocre at best." In addition, we had a waiter who could care less and was not pleasant with non-Spanish customers.

We had drinks and tapas here and although the drinks were good, the food was pretty terrible. Had four different tapas and we could only eat one !!! Very poor. Drinks and location were the only reason we stopped here. Mistake !

We know places like these are risky - lovely setting, really great view up to the Alhambra but this single occasion for a glass of red and a white rioja and a nice sit down in the afternoon was quite ok and a rather tasty tapa of fish and potato came with the tiny bill of just under E6. Service... More

This restaurant is not making the most of it's location. The Paella we ordered for lunch was fine but less generous portion and more expensive than elsewhere. Go here if you want to sit and enjoy the view of the Alhambra and the music of the street performers, not if you want something nice to eat.
