El Olivo is a lovely little place on a cute square in Granada. It doesn't feel that Spanish- and I think the owner (who was also serving) is Italian? The portions are a bit smaller than the regular Spanish tapas place and also a bit more refined. It was very nice with the lighter dishes with some nice and interesting... More

Great food. Try the artichokes and clams. Tuna was so so. Raspberry tart desert was terrific from one w/o a sweet tooth. Dinner for two, several glasses of superb wine, about 50 euros. You really want to try this.

Great location on Plaza Pescaderia. A welcome break from sight seeing. We ordered glasses of red wine- quite good and less than 3 Euros per glass. This was served with a complimentary tapa of a bowl of olives from the local groves. We followed with jamon and cheese. Service was attentive- even for outdoor table. We were impressed and returned... More

We were looking for a restaurant with a difference near Granada & had read the reviews. This did not disappoint, one of the best meals i have ever had.

We were looking for somewhere to have a meal while travelling and saw reviews for El Olivo so decided to try it. Firstly, I ought to say that eating at midday on our way to Murcia is not the best way to enjoy this restaurant because the food deserves to be savoured. We were eager to get back on the... More

This is a gorgeous and authentic restaurant in Andalucia. It´s a set menu which consists of about seven small courses, (can`t remember exactly how many). 25 euros per head including wine, which is very good value considering what a lovely meal you get. The service is excellent, the chef comes and sits at your table to explain the menu. The... More

Old fashioned restaurant run by Don Miguel a gourmet chef who worked outside Spain and retired to his village and runs his own restaurant because he enjoys it. Book up because you are unlikely to find a free table if you don't. He only serves food at lunchtime and you get the food that he recommends. There is no choice.... More

I have been taken to this little wonderful restaurant by a friend while visiting Granada for the first time. I found the restaurant to be charming, filled with character and the owner (the chef) and his wife couldn't have been more hospitable. To top that the food was absolutely brilliant. The chef sat down at our table and recommended the... More
