On arrival in Seville we needed some lunch and the concierge at our hotel (on Almeda de Hercules) recommended Al Aljibe - just across the road. For some reason I expected, in such a tourist location, to be disappointed, but we were blown away. We sat in the sun and ate some of the best bacalao of our visit, and... More

Superb tapas menu to choose from and each dish was presented so wonderfully we had 5 dishes for 2 of us - and that is enough Its not fine dining and the service could be more professional - but the food and the atmosphere is superb We ate here twice in three nights!

We found this nice place walking around and we saw a beautiful indoor terrace and and a nice menu. We decided to give it a try and i'm glad we did. We ordered a jug of sangria, couple of beers, 6 tapas coffee and desert. All the tapas were very nice, tasty and well presented. The black pudding croquetas were... More

The style of food here was more refined than other typical tapas restaurants we have been to. And the prices are a bit higher, but not overly extortionate. The Shrimp burger was the best thing we had, with the special iberico pork a close second. The duck and apple risotto was really different and tasty. We also had the tuna... More

We decided to eat here on recommendation from our hotel. The tapas were fresh. Try the black rice (w/squid), you will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed all the tapas we took and thought it was very good value for money. The staff was also very friendly and ready to serve us in English (as we don't speak Spanish). The best restaurant we visited in Sevilla, so highly recommended!

We enjoyed our hot and cold tapas in this Restaurant and thought it was very good value for money. Staff helpful and friendly. Our only slight criticism was the lack of atmosphere. All in all however a good experience and we would definitely recommend.

Tapas are supposed to be appetizers. My experience is that, increasingly, "tapas" is used as a way of offering half-sized portions of what you also offer as a full-size version. Not that I'm knocking it: it's a good idea. Al Aljiba certainly fits this trend though some of its courses (for example, beef carpaccio with green mustard ice cream -... More

3rd visit but never again, we were so disappointed in the food we left after the first 5 tapas arrived. I don't know what has gone wrong here but it was very poor, dried out salad leaves, tasteless and unseasoned burger, beef carpaccio meat was good but again dried out tasteless salad like what you can get in a supermarket.... Everything was exceptional...the staff, the food, the off-the-tourist-track location. Great value, as well.
