What an authentic tapas bar! It is the oldest one in Seville & had so much character. This was our 1st time to Seville & I had read several articles that recommended this place. It was our 1st stop when we arrived in Seville & it did not disappoint!

This place is very famous in Sevilla. I think the bar part with the tapas is better than the restaurant. The dishes are not exceptional and are expensive. Too touristic.

We never had tapas before and decided try one in this place. Being so clueless about everything, first we sat at the restaurant table, the staff was kind enough to explain to us about how to order tapas and guided us to the bar. We ordered spinach with chickpeas, omelette, fried octopus, croquettes, and many more, and we loved all... More

I spotted this place when I walked to my hotel, and a quick look on the internet showed it was a well known tapas place, so I headed back later in the evening to have a bite to eat. From the outside, it reminded me of some of the cosy tapas bars I've been to in Bilbao, which have a... More

Bartender asked us if we wanted some ham and bread to go with our beers, which usually is included in the price of the beer in places like Granada, Salamanca and Leon. He then charged us 22€ euros for the plate of ham, which was not even an option listed on the menu. Had it been this alone I would... More

We visited last night. We didn't do the bar but did the restaurant next door. Had 3 tapas and several beers sat at the bar. The good here is superb and some of the best we've had in seville. Our favourite was the risotto and steak with mash. Will be returning before the weeks out

Something of an institution, it is supposed to be one of the 'homes' of tapas, it is certainly worth visiting at least once. My partner and I went to El Rinconcillo on our first night in Seville, after visiting the nearby Metropol Parasol and its amazing views over Seville at sunset. The two provide the perfect introduction to Seville. There... More

This bar has become a must every time we visit Seville. Despite its long established reputation, amongst locals and tourists alike, it always feels authentic and is a fascinating place for a few drinks and tapas. Bar staff continue to chalk your purchases on the counter, as they have done for decades (probably centuries) and the atmosphere is always fascinating.... More

Description
Located on the Calle Gerona, El Rinconcillo has been serving up Spanish cuisine in Seville since 1760. This historic restaurant boasts a rustic-chic dining room that is dressed up in cosmopolitan clothes. With understated whitewashed brick walls, beamed ceilings, chandeliers and fresh flower arrangements, El Rinconcillo attracts everybody from local celebrities to families who come to enjoy traditional tapas and Sunday meals, and the mosaic-tiled bar with wine barrel tables is perfect for pre-dinner drinks and mid-afternoon glasses of wine. The menu is an eclectic collection of tapas dishes, stews, seafood, meat and sweet flans for dessert, and you couldnt find a more quintessentially Spanish eatery in Seville if you tried.
