Located near city centre & billed as oldest tapas in Seville. Interior is nice & authentic, however all staff on duty give the feeling that they don’t want customers, minimal engagement, abrupt. Tapas (Choco & Bacalao was poor & below average. Saving grace was the...More

If there is 1 tapas bar to go to, this is it. The oldest in Seville and still full of locals and tourists alike. Its not that the food is necessarily better here than elsewhere, but the atmosphere and way you order is. Orders are...More

This is a very busy place, probably more for it's tapas bar, than for its table service- at least the night we were there. Nonetheless, the food was good, tasty, and attractively served. The waiter was a bit harried, he got some help as the...More

Allegedly the originator of tapas, regardless whether this is true or not, this place was excellent. Service was highly efficient and courteous. For the Spanish 3 pm lunch the place was packed. Very nice interior of colorful tiles on the walls.

Description
Located on the Calle Gerona, El Rinconcillo has been serving up Spanish cuisine in Seville since 1760. This historic restaurant boasts a rustic-chic dining room that is dressed up in cosmopolitan clothes. With understated whitewashed brick walls, beamed ceilings, chandeliers and fresh flower arrangements, El Rinconcillo attracts everybody from local celebrities to families who come to enjoy traditional tapas and Sunday meals, and the mosaic-tiled bar with wine barrel tables is perfect for pre-dinner drinks and mid-afternoon glasses of wine. The menu is an eclectic collection of tapas dishes, stews, seafood, meat and sweet flans for dessert, and you couldnt find a more quintessentially Spanish eatery in Seville if you tried.
