Proving you can have a successful restaurant without any seating---La Cuchara de San Telmo was one of our favorite meals in San Sebastian. We arrived early for lunch---it gets very crowded. The staff was very careful with our food allergies. Food was fresh and delicious....More

Had the carillera and duck ravioli, neither had much flavor (carillera was much better at borda berri). When he asked my name I said jimmy (not my name, but figured it would be easier to say), he didn't get it so he called me chow...More

This place will be my lasting memory of San Sebastian.... absolutely amazing food and super atmosphere. The place itself is tiny and super crowded but don't let it put you off. There are also a few tables round the back if you're ready to wait...More

....so yes, the food is worth the visit, but unless you can get a table in the shade round the back (and good luck with that - I merely looked at a table and someone yelled 'Occupado!'), you have to be out in the heat,...More

We enjoyed a casual late lunch. The food quality was good (we particularly loved the goats cheese and cod!). The restaurant has quite a busy feel and you have to listen out for your name to be called for food which can be a bit...More

The food is really good - pork cheeks, risotto, hake. Everything is beautifully made ... but it is so crowded! and we were there 10 minutes after they opened.

Some of the best food I have ever eaten. The veal cheeks and suckling pig were phenomenal! A few words in basque go a long way here, the guys serving were a delight and after our second visit even gave us a few free plates....More

Tucked way inside the old town, this place continuEs to make creative tapas. Excellent tapas, made to order..unlike the typical tapas joints you don't see a lot of food on display as they are made fresh to order..

I personally did not have the greatest experience here, and my impression of other guests was that around half found it uncomfortable and half were enjoying it. Compared to some neighboring venues the service was a little rude. A young guy with a neck tattoo...More

The focus and stars of this place are the meat pintxos. They are very good. Arrive early to beat the hordes.......

We went at lunch time, but we also know that they are opened in the evenings, because we tried but it was full and couldn't get a table. Worth trying to get it.

Hi this is a casual pintxo bar and standing room only. No need for reservation. Not sure about exact opening times - they're open for lunch and closes around 2 pm. Reopens again for dinner till late.
