This restaurant overlooks the small bay & has recently benefitted from new owners from Lebanon. The food is excellent, not overpriced as with some of its neighbours, fresh fish, a local chef known to the fishermen & good range of Tenerife Wines to choose from....More

Excellent restaurant under new ownership, which has made a great restaurant even better. Great staff and location.

You should come for the fresh fish which the owner picks up every morning. It varies depending on the day obviously. Nothing too special or complicated. Just fresh and well cooked. Had the black seabass and corvina. Both excellent. Nice location, friendly staff and good...More

Called in to this bar/restaurant late at night for drinks. Initially the waiter was reluctant to serve us but begrudgingly brought us drinks on the condition that we didn't stay too long!!!!! Drinks were extremely overpriced at 24 Euros for two vodka and cokes and...More

Really nice Spanish restaurant but the fish and the views are the real stars. Service willing but Spanish only really spoken, but worth the effort as the food was great. Good wine to go with the food at a reasonable price.

This place should be great but it is totally let down by its staff. The three waiters were each as unfriendly, unhelpful and disinterested as each other. We ordered the mixed fish and hoped that the quality of the meal would outweigh the terrible welcome....More

Set high above a mini harbour, this is an interesting restaurant, with nice views if you sit next to the windows (often wide open) and with eclectic décor & furniture. Our paella came in just over 30mins, not the advertised 45mins. It was OK but...More

Stumbled upon this place as we walked along the coastline. Quirky and friendly although not too many tables for the amount of trade that came by. Go for the specials they will by far be freshest and not too expensive.

We had the seafood platter for 4 people and it was huge. When we arrived the waiter tried to put us off by saying we wouldn't be served for 15 minutes but we said we'd wait and in fact we didn't have to wait that...More

Description
In the peaceful fishing town of Alcala but still within easy reach of West Tenerifes most popular tourist resorts, youll find Escondida, a chilled out lounge bar and restaurant with a young, funky feel. Wide windows offer stunning sea views while deep colourful sofas are the perfect place to relax with a delicious mojito before moving through to the restaurant, with the same views but a more formal setting. The compact but varied menu offers everything from tapas dishes for a real taste of Spanish food through to blackboard specials, made using in season local ingredients. Every dish is beautifully presented and a real treat for holidaying foodies after an authentic experience.
