Get the rabas (fried calamari) mixed with onion rings. Other food is good too but that is what makes this place great.

Looking from the outside you would not go in as the place looks like a corner local tavern. Inside though is very nicely decorated and just looking at the bar already tells you this is a plce to eat. We were very lucky to seat near the kitchen and watch the Chef take control of that kitchen and make sure... More
We had read up on this place and it was recommended by a friend living in the city, however, when we had the hotel reception call for reservations there was no response. Also, on the website it showed as being open, so we ventured out by taxi and found it to be closed for vacation! So the taxi driver mentioned... More
i came here because of the reviews on trip advisor... it was a 20 minute walk from the old town, up several escalators (yup...outdoor escalators) and no longer in the touristic area. it was every bit the spanish bar, locals standing to eat and drink, chatting, inside and outside. bar space and lunch space. i was lucky enough to have... Brilliant atmosphere, bustling with locals. The food is great though perhaps on the pricier side. They serve excellent sea food and I would highly recommend the scallops or the pigs ears. Third time I have been here and will certainly go back.
The rabas here are on the top 5 rabas in Santander, the portions are huge and quite cheap. However, be aware that the the place is packed during Saturdays and Sunday morning. Having a proper meal is quite expensive and time to time you can get a disgusting experience with the food.

We eat there sea food, it was really good. Service polite and friendly. Prices are maybe not the cheapest in the city, but all was really good, so can recommend.
Food was nothing special, quite expensive and service was rude. They charged for food we didn't ask and gave ridiculous explanations. I am not coming back.
