My partner and I were looking forward to visit the place. We only heard good about this place in the internet. I wont say that it was a bad experience because the food was very good and tasty, a lot of different flavours. We have...More

Eighteen course tasting menu with pairings. Sounds like a lot but each course left us anticipating the next. The food was creatively conceived, and superbly executed and served. The design of the hotel, restaurant and garden is perfect. Have a coupe of cava in the...More

The menu was split into a tasting, and a grand tasting. Being the glutton that I am, we went for the grand. The grand was 18 courses, most of which seemed to overlap with the regular tasting. I'm guessing that the parts that don't overlap...More

Was much looking forward to this visit as recommended by friends-never ha such a cold "welcome" in a restaurant as in this one- went for the tasting menu and although I do speak Spanish pretty well didn't feel treated the same way as Spanish guests....More

A friend recommended the restaurant and I was lucky to get a table at short notice and it turned out to be a delicious evening. We had the tasting menu and the wine menu and unlike some other gourmet restaurants the main aim of the...More

We were lucky to find last minute reservations for a Sunday lunch as we heard a lot about it. It was an amazing lunch, from starters to the different presentations and tastes to the dessert. Initially we were taken aback from the small quantities but...More

Don't come to Barcelona for the Sagrada Familia. Don't come for the Picasso Museum. Come for ABac. (Okay, okay, you can come for the MNAC). This temple of molecular gastronomy gave us our best meal in Barcelona (where we had many spectacular meals) and one...More

Delicious, visual and creative menu, but an average overall experience, due to a lousy staff with attitude and some other small glitches. I'm not going to lie: if you keep your eyes STRICTLY on the dish, you'll have a WONDERFUL time. A team of four...More

If you like creative, new experiences and to challenge your assumptions regarding food and taste then you will love and appreciate ABaC. You need to bring time and money, though. ABaC is not a restaurant where you go for dinner to eat or when you...More

This restaurant is absolutely divine - not to be missed. Every single one of the thirteen courses we tasted was exquisite, adding up to the best meal we've had since we ate in Thomas Keller's French Laundry a decade ago (and we've eaten in plenty...More

I'd give it a miss if I were you. The chef who created the original ABaC now has his own place in Barcelona. It is called Celeri and I think you will find it a much more rewarding experience. His ethos is based on pleasing... More

In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.
