Located in the Gothic quarter this is one of the best restaurants in the area! The wine was excellent and the tapas were great! Let the staff guide you to what is in season and what you should try and you will not be disappointed!

We visited this tapas bar primarily to sample the crema catalana as reviews online and on here says it's a good one. Not wrong. Lovely crema catalana, wines explained and were also really nice. Other dishes also leave no room for disappointment, all tasty and...More

We found this place while unsuccessfully looking for another. Despite the menu being seafood heavy (not to my tastes sadly) we have it a shot. The croquettes were amazing - all of them. We both enjoyed our mains however the veal was smaller than expected...More

We thought this was the best tapas bar/restaurant to eat at in Barcelona beating even Los Caracoles. The food is amazing, try the tuna and the squid croquettes. The people who run the place are so friendly and even though they speak excellent English just...More

I liked the place, but felt like reviews misled me, so here’s my 2 cents. Previous reviews say that it’s good value, but we spent about $30/person for lunch here and didn’t have wine or dessert. Most non touristy places have a menu del dia...More

And it was a good decision :) Small authentic place with very friendly and helpful staff for us not speaking any Spanish. There were no free tables when we arrived, but in no time they made one up for us upstairs. The food was delicious,...More

Great food, great atmosphere, highly recommended. As non-Spanish speakers we couldn't have asked for more helpful staff

We do not speak Spanish but we found everyone quite helpful with order selection. The food was very good especially the Potatoes Braves. Be sure to try the Vermut (sweet vermouth). We would definitely go back.

This place was recommended to us by one of the walking tour guides and needed Google maps or would never have found it. The ground floor level is quite small (I think there was also upstairs but did not go up), bt it makes for...More

This is a small…but busy restaurant which specialises in Tapas. The range of Tapas was pretty good have to say,….although not exceptional…..the cheese selection was a touch on the light side. The service was good, and this is a friendly place. However there was a...More

Description
With its 80 years, La Palma is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic locals of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. Opened in 1935 as a grocery store, it has been an improvised theater stage and a meeting place for artists, painters and poets of the recent history of Barcelona. In 1987, the business became " La Bodega de la Señora Maria" and adapted to the new times, including for the first time a coffee machine and a variety of homemade omelettes, without neglecting its tradition: the barrel wine. The last change was in 2005 , when the new owners expanded the menu to convert the celler into what it is today: a place that perfectly combines traditional Catalan cuisine with a wide and varied menu of wines and champagnes . Enjoy it!
