A wodnerful restaurant, with kind, knowledgable staff. The food was based on classics but updated and, in many cases, improved. We had a lunch tasting menu and every single dish was gorgeous. Stand out where the green peas with a chicken broth and lovely baby squid but all dishes were a delight. Good wines, nice dessert and overall a fantastic... More

We had the 9 course menu for lunch. The experience was just excellent! Great variety of food, very good quality and good service. 70 Euro was totally fine for the menu.

We visited here with children aged 12 and 9 and we were made to feel very welcome. They were able to choose any starter and main course alongside our tasting menu which we had paired with wines. The food was beautifully presented and delicious - the portions were also extremely generous. The maitre'd explained the background of each course and... More

We decided to come here on our last night in Barcelona. We opted for the tasting menu (set courses) and the set wines to accompany each course. The food was excellent, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The dishes ranged from a ceviche of white fish, slow cooked melt in your mouth lamb, savoury sorbets and exquisite desserts. It's worth booking,... More

The duck ravioli were unique, the pumpkin soup was almost too pretty to eat, the garlic and potato soup with apple mousse sounds a bit strange, but was a perfect combo. Roasted lamb was so tender that our grandson could eat it (His first Michelin taste at 11 mo). The petit fours were almost too pretty to eat. Chocolate dessert... More

My husband and I had a superb evening at Montiel last Friday night. We chose the tasting menu, having seen the recommendations on Trip Advisor and we loved it! We also chose the wine pairing and it's a must! Each delightfully prepared course came with a glass of delicious wine. The wines were local Catalonian and ecological which we would... More

Our tasting menu lunch at Montiel was hands down my favorite meal in Barcelona. The service was superb and the food was beyond incredible. We added on the wine tasting which was perfect. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and care that the staff puts in to your experience. If you love food, then go to Montiel.

There are two things that could be improved. Chairs are a little uncomfortable and there was no where to put our coats!! Had the tasting menu with matching wines. Now the food was superb, particularly the ceviche and lamb dishes. The ceviche dish was one of the best 'starter dishes' I have had in any restaurants that that includes in... More

My wife and I went here for out birthday after reading all of the rave reviews, and the restaurant delivered on all fronts. The dining room is warm and inviting, and all of the staff were very knowledgeable not only about the food but also about the wine. We both opted for the tasting menu, and each course was delicious... More

Took my SO here for her birthday. It was empty when we came in surprisingly but after about an hour a couple more groups came in. Probably because it was a Wednesday but still the ambiance was good. For 70 euros, the tasting menu was deliciously filling, different, and well priced. Recommended.
