A lot of the other reviews are poor, but I just have to say our meal and experience there was good. Maybe I'm just comparing it to other tourist food, but the Paella had a good consistency, better than several we had on La Rambla....More

One of those restaurants which is doing great business owing to a great location rather than anything else. Tourists wanted to try some Spanish food will be in abandance in this area. So the modest ratings do not matter much to them. Service is so-so....More

We really should have looked at reviews before coming in but it was getting late and we was hungry. We ordered drinks and food, then started looking at what others were eating and it didn't look too great but as we'd already ordered we thought...More

I'm from Barcelona and I was eating there a few days ago with my best friend. It was a terrible experience, the worst mussels I've ever eated in my life. My friend, who eats frequently paella, couldn't finish the dish. All the food are insipid...More

Mediocre food. The check was way more the expected, the explanation being that the menu prices have no VAT. The waiter COUNTED THE MONEY right next to us then asked for more. Then he explained he actually wanted a tip. Total tourist scam, avoid.

The staff at Can Costa knows what hospitality means. In addition they serve delicious tapas and paella. Something you must have tried on your trip to Barcelona. Nice located near the beach, it's the perfect end of a hot beach day.

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

Can Costa history dates back to the end of the 20s. Now, almost 100 years later, still owned by the same family run by the fourth generation. Our cooking is, at present, like the one made in the "merendero": Our cooking is plain, tasty and of great quality, with fresh products that we daily select. The restaurant, of Mediterranean atmosphere, full of light and cosy, has in the centre a big window facing the kitchen to watch us work the food for the dishes on the menu. The restaurant is divided in two floors, which allows to hold private meals, business meals or family events, always keeping enough privacy.
