We had heard about Sagardi and the pintxo on sticks so we went out of our way to go to Sagardi today. We were so glad we did! The waiter was lovely. He explained everything to us in really good English and recommended a lovely wine to go with the food. We loved the pintxos too. They were delicious and... More

We celebrated a family reunion for a birthday at Sagardi and really enjoyed an excellent Basque cuisine experience with attentive service. The personnel was very keen in providing good advice on what to order and accommodate the kids needs. Food was excellent, tasty and authentic Basque form starters with classic chistorra or main with chuleton or wild fish. Highly recommended!

Fantastic welcome, wonderful tapas you help yourself to although the waitresses come around with freshly made hot stuff regularly too. Wonderful and reasonably priced.

Myself and partner had walked past this place a few times during our stay in Barcelona and decided to call in and try the pintxos. To start with we were not greeted by anyone even though there were a number of staff working in the restaurant - not a big issue as we took a table near the door (inside).... More

This restaurant was recommended by friends (the one in the Gothic Quarter actually) but as this branch was near to where we stayed, we tried it. We had the steak with a green salad. My husband a small beer and I had a cider (which I was told after I ordered it was a bottomless glass for €7....one glass would... More

The pintxos are good but the choice is quite limited. Hopefully, you'll like what's on offer. If not...There were quite a few of us and after a while warm pintxos were brought to us. These were very good, but it remains to be seen whether they would have been proposed if our group hadn't shown up. A wider choice would... More

A great selection of delicious pintxo. Affordable and a really great selection. Staff were friendly and happy to describe the flavours and ingredients. The terrace was a perfect spot to enjoy some pintxo and wine.

The tapas was ok but I've had better. Because you take your tapas yourself all of them are cold and on bread. The staff is very bad at English, so there may be some lost in translation. It is not very expensive you'll need like 10-12 pieces to get full, the price per person is around 25-30 euros. The restaurant... More

We were stopped in our tracks by the aged beef hanging in the window. With a quick search we booked a reservation to eat here the next night. We chose the fish tasting menu and it was delicious (even if it was a bit expensive for us). We had the peas, clam and artichoke stew, tuna steak and goat milk... More

Stunning tapas... Lovely atmosphere... Waitress was lovely and helpful... Lots to choose from... Can pick between hot and cold tapas and at the end you keep your cocktail stick and they count them up at the end to pay the bill... Also lots of choice... Cant wait to visit again! Would definately recommend

Sagardi BCN Centre in the centre of Barcelona is another terrific eaterie from this family of superb, relaxed, authentic restaurants. You'll find it in the Eixample district, right in the heart of town, a two-minute walk from the Rambla and the Paseo de Gracia, so it's perfect for breaks from sightseeing. Like the other Sagardis, this restaurant décor is based on rustic materials, transformed into a smartly-designed modern space with bright, pale walls, sleek seating, and woods of many shades. A pair of enormous barrels, called kupelas, behind the bar reminds you that Sagardi is inspired by classic Basque sidrerias. The excellently-sourced menu features classic Basque cuisine including several preparations of bacalao, and if you just can't decide, then the three-course Menu de sidreria gives you a flavour of the best of the kitchen. As Sagardi BCN Centre is set in the Barcelona's business district, it is a favourite spot for working lunches. The three naturally-lit private dining rooms accommodate up to 110 guests in total, making this a perfect spot for your corporate event.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
