I love L'Arros for the wide choice of paella which is served in individual plates (it normally goes for two people to share), so that anyone can be free to chose what to eat...

We went here our first night in Barcelona, having been recommended to by a friend. We were the only customers in the restaurant which was surprising, as the food was outstanding! We had the seafood Paella, oven cooked to order, and came with a small basket of bread. We deshelled the seafood ourselves and only just managed to polish off... More

we enjoyed a pleasant lunch here, on our way to Barceloneta. Prompt friendly service, and reasonably priced menu. We ordered a salad and a seafood paella to between two - not a blow-out but a reasonable lunch, especially with a bottle of house white.

Dined here with my wife for a light lunch sitting outside in the sun. Perfectly acceptable standard tapas served by a very friendly and helpful waitress. Coca de tomate for two, chorizo cooked in white wine, a large bowl of mixed olives, grilled Mediterranean vegetables and a glass of cava and a large beer all for thirty euros. And afterwards we were... Went late on a Sunday night having read positive previous reviews. Starters were good. Calamari was fresh and well prepared. The Brie, bacon and onions was tasty but too much of it!! The paella lived up to its reputation! The seafood paella was fresh and tasty. The paella was cooked just right. The chicken paella has mushrooms and artichokes. Full... More

The paella portions are a good size and enough for one person, but we have had better. The staff was not very friendly. The bathrooms need to be better maintained as they were quite dirty and gross. The best part of the meal was the sangria. Don't think I will be coming back. The views are decent.

I went with my brother at L'Arros. We both got seafood paella, but the fish was like frozen (a bit gummy) and the rice was a bit burnt. Sangria was decent. Location and service were good. Prices were quite high for the quality of the food. I'm sure it's possible to find something with a better quality.

Was here for Sunday brunch after a stroll by the nearby Barcelona beaches. The restaurant has a great outdoor seating area which was popular with the locals. I joined them to bask in the glorious winter sun. The food was good. I ordered a Jamon for starters and a medium-rare burger for my main course. Both were excellent!

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
