You can choose your fish when entering the restaurant and the also choose the way you want it prepared. Not knowing the price in advance, we were very curious to see the final bill and were happily surprised by it as it was much less than we anticipated. I love their arroz con bogavante (rice with lobster), very tasty and... More

The best place for fresh seafood at highly affordable prices. Best to go with a party of more than 2 persons since this enables one to sample and order many different dishes to share. You won't regret it. Great prices for fresh seafood!

It was another perfect-weather day when we ate at MariscCO’s, My Lady and I dined in the outdoor quadrangle area. During our lunch, a male gymnast performed in the quadrangle, executing extended cartwheels which appeared to be of the quality seen in the Rio Olympics. I ordered calamari and gazpacho. My Lady ordered a stuffed spinach pasta and prawns. She... More

We found this restaurant by chance and didn't really know what to expect. It is located in a beautiful square and has tables outside, however this was unfortunately full. We sat inside close to the bar and wondered about some of the decor - it is very nice and funky though. Service was fast and friendly and we had several... More

We ordered the calamari which was just bland and clearly frozen out of a packet. The muscles were luke warm and in a horrible thick sauce. When we asked them for a hot plate of muscles, they just clearly had microwaved them, returning the exact plate! The seabass was not great either. It was a nice atmosphere on the square... More

My wife and I went to Barcelona for 9 days and on the 3rd day we were craving seafood. Soo we found this place close to our hotel and thought we would give it a try . The neat part was that you can pick out your seafood and then you sit down and they prepare it for you. We... More

The prices are not cheap but due to the location they are not high. We been here 3 times this trip (It's a regular place when I arrive on business trip) The Paye lobster is very good and for 2 persons will be more then enough. I like the fried calamari and the fried anchovies. My wife liked the grilled... More

Visited a couple of times, food and service was good. Seafood paella was really good, and they did explain that it was more 'soupy' than usual paella as this was a local recipe. Nice to sit in the busy square and watch everyone. Prices maybe a little high but not over the top for a table in the square.

From the considerate, smiling and efficient service to the delicious food we enjoyed every minute. You select your seafood at the door and pay per weight, except for starters and a couple of main dishes that have a set price. Diners complaining that the lobster paella is not "like a paella" should know that the Spanish menu does specify that... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
