This bar was very good and staff very friendly. If you order one this - please order the mushroom and wasabi salad. I know you think I'm crazy but these flavors will blow your mind. Thinly shaved/sliced mushrooms with a few thin slice strawberries with...More

We stopped at the small neighborhood Bar del Pla to have a few tapas and a glass of wine knowing nothing about it. Our experience was a pleasant surprised. We arrived at 1:15 and nearly all the tables were reserved; we sat at the bar,...More

Great recommendation from our concierge for lunch. It was cozy, fun and authentic. The squid with chick peas was on grandma's menu, the sardines fresh, the best was the tuna tartare, as good as it gets. Decent and affordable wine list, but you must have...More

I brought a group of 25 fellow salsa dancers for lunch at Bar del Pla in El Born as we toured Barri Gothic (the Old City) of Barcelona. Not only was the tapas incredible - from the most traditional Patatas Bravas to the most outstanding...More

You haven't had a real tapas experience in Barcelona until you have eaten at Bar del Pla. The octopus is the best we had in Spain. Iberian ham is a specialty, and there is a wide range of taste and quality, so try this one....More

We came here for lunch a couple of times during our visit to Barcelona, after a friend recommended it, and we absolutely loved it. I'd recommend going early as it fills up fast. The food was some of the best we had on our trip,...More

We had dinner here as a part of our Tapas, Taverns & History of Barcelona walking food tour with Devour Barcelona. It's wonderful that Devour has established relationships with such super authentic local spots like this. Traditional dishes served in a comfortable welcoming setting. Lots...More

Discovered strictly through word-of-mouth, this small eatery had much to offer in the way of good food and good service. We started with two nice mixed-green salads (greens with a few mixed, raw veggies and handful of high-end nut mix with light vinaigrette dressing) and...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I'd recommend it especially if you want a table or decent bar seats. We turned up without but we're very early so managed to find 2 unreserved bar stools.
