We chose this restaurant as they were offering 10% off for people staying at our hotel (Curious). We liked it so much we ended up going back again during our stay. Not a fantastically large menu but a good varied choice of Mediterranean food. Great service and no quibble with the 10%.

The restaurant was nice. It was visited mostly by locals. When we ordered we also noticed that the other people went to the Salat bar. We didn't know that because it didn't stand on the Menu. Actually we didn't know if we could eat from this Salad bar with our dish. The staff was friendly. The food had a good... More

We were looking for somewhere near our hotel for dinner and were lucky enough to find this lovely place. We had the aubergine 'cake' - in a light batter, the softest tastiest aubergine ever - and the layered mixed vegetables - husband said the flavour was amazing - for starters. Then I had hake, he had sausage. Simple, perfectly cooked.... More

We were looking for a place to try calçots during our stay in Barcelona, and found this gem in old town. It's in the backstreets of old town and doesn't have the tourist hustle and bustle. The food is delicious with good value. We liked Calçots a lot. It's tasty and a lot of fun!

We were taken here by a local friend who regularly comes here for lunch - it is popular with people who work in the nearby university building. It was busy at lunchtime so booking or turning up early (I.e. around 1.30) is recommended. Varied lunch menu with two dishes or just one dish if you prefer, at a competitive price.... More

We came as part of a larger group and got a nice separate room on the upper floor. Service was friendly and very fast. All food tasted good but the locals in our group were not impressed.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
