I ate here on Saturday night with 6 friends, and it wasn't great. I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but my fears began when we had to constantly chase the waiters for water and our wine. A selection of starters arrived which were generally ok, but 2 of them (squid with wasabi) were very luke warm, almost cold. I complained and... More

Our second night in Barcelona and found this nice looking place. Sat outside which was nice however the food was very disappointing. Neither of our meals were very good. Very chewy scollops and the worst stringy steak I've ever had. I've given it two stars for the nice red wine and atmosphere eating on the roadside.

if you are looking for a quick and easy lunch menu that is under 10 euro with refillable wine, this is the place for you! Sometimes they have very yummy tasty choices on the menu but other times its just plain. I have been to this place a few times and the owner is always very nice. The servers are... More

Walking around at 8pm on a Sunday night, everywhere was either still closed or empty. We happened to come across Cabanela which had all of its outside tables almost full. We happened to luck out and get the last one. The inside also looks nice, but in this weather is is better to sit outside. The staff was friendly and... More

We sat down on our last day to get a jug of Sangria and small snack. The table still had a dirty astray which the waitress made no effort to clear. We waited so long to get attended to that my fiancé went inside to order which was not received well by the waitress who proceeded to huff and puff... More

I went here because of the Tripadvisor reviews but left nauseous and disappointed. I don't know if they changed owners or something, but this surely shouldn't be rated 4/5. First and foremost, this is the worst food I ever had in Barcelona. I've been here 2 times for a combined 20 days and never experienced anything like this. The food... More

I only enjoyed a small breakfast here and will be heading back soon to sample the main menu. From what I had the quality was very good and at a great price considering the location. The place wasn´t busy when I was there but I recieved great service from the staff. The menu looks great and the prices also plus... More

i was looking for another tapas bar, and the outdoor menu looked promising (and was near to my hotel). Inside, i only got the menu with one menu on it. You could choose for 3 starters (out of about 6), 1 main cours (out of 3) and 1 dessert (out of 3). So gave it a try. All was very... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
