Very friendly staff. Had some very nice ceranno ham and a delicious steak, roasted to perfection. Asked for a gin and tonic, but this one was not the perfect serve as you would expect in a gin town like Barcelona. In all fairness, I did not try the cocktails

Tried to get a table here on 21/5 but unfortuneatly were fully booked so we booked a table for the following night and so glad we did! Service was fantastic from beginning to end and food was also amazing. There was a few guys working that evening and couldnt fault any of them, the one who took our order took... More

Cera 23 is located down a dark little alley in Raval. It's not a place people just accidentally stumble into, because it is not surrounded by anything other than residential houses. Based on conversations heard at tables around us, I think everyone was there based off of Tripadvisor/Foursquare reviews - which was totally fine, because the food was amazing. To... More

Cera 23 could easily be mistaken for a hole in the wall or a student dive. It is totally unpretentious, but the service is warm and caring. We were a little international pack of Americans, Brits and Koreans, who looked about dubiously upon arrival, but quickly settled into the good bread and olive oil; and tasty and plentiful appetizers; followed... We went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening with a reservation booked by two in our group. The restaurant is relatively small and all tables were in use. The staff was friendly and the menu was diverse. Both food quality and service were quite good. It is a bit hard to find, so make sure you have checked the... More

We visited cera 23 on a Tuesday evening in May 2014 after reading reviews on tripadvisor. The food, ambience and not to forget the blackberry mojitos were superb. The death by chocolate dessert was by far the best chocolate dessert I have ever had. The staff are so attentive without being intrusive they are first class !!!. We were a... More

We visited Cera23 as recommended by a friend. So happy we did! The food was amazing! Service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona! I didn't think it was overpriced at all, as the food was so good we were more than happy to pay the prices! A bottle of house wine was also reasonably priced!

Price a bit more expensive than average, €20 per person with wine. Food is excellent, arros negros was just brilliant. Staff is super professional, the place will impress you.

We found this restaurant on trip adviser and held high expectations as it was top of the list. We were not disappointed the food here is DELICIOUS. The meals were delicious. The fillet of beef melts in your mouth and the meals are a decent size and reasonably priced. If you go here have a black mojito cocktail, you will... More

We were not sure the taxi driver actually knew where he was going when we drove down a small cobbled street and he pulled over and told us we had arrived. Nevertheless he did! The restaurant looks great inside and the staff were extremely friendly and added something extra to what was a fantastic evening, filled with excellent food. The... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
