Good evening from beautiful Greece I visited this bakery and the two days that I stayed in Barcelona. it was something so special in this city as you enter on the left you see something that is like a bakery with sweet croissants breakfast which you can takeaway and to your right there is a small lounge you can sit for coffee or food also the chef and staff were incredibly nice and kind both times I went they treated me Some sweet.The flavors of the food were amazing I highly recommend it and I would go back every day to this shop Also the second day that I went the girl from the staff asked me to take a picture of me to put in the wall behind the heart

Old fashioned pastry shop, absolutely satisfied!
Variety of options for breakfast, from the classic brioches to a variety of typical desserts (I immediately wanted to try the creme brulee).

There is only one air cooling close to seller’s table. There is no cooling in place of seats. The toiles is a hole, no chance to use it, if you have a normal or tall. The crema catalana is usual, overvalued by advertisement and bloggers

Sentimos mucho que su experiencia con nuestro WC no haya sido satisfactoria pero el espacio estructural del establecimiento no nos permite hacer un baño mayor. Si que disponemos de AACC en todo el establecimiento y a parte estamos realizando modificaciones para mejorar la experiencia.

For the first time they give us the reserved table 45 minutes after the reservation. We went to the bar to at least order something to drink and they made it very, very difficult for us and treated us as if we were bothering them.
We got to the table and the chair cushions were very, very dirty.
The food is nothing special and the prices are expensive. Not to mention the staff.

Thinking of how I should review a place like that: Some thoughts come to my mind! Beautiful looking pieces of art, the building / shop itself even is very historical and worth looking at it, without the cakes and sweet treats everywhere. We had four different pieces and some of them looked by far better then they tasted, some tasted amazing, very fine, light and delicate. Service started of very well, friendly and the person in the front was really making an effort to accommodate us inside with a table, the person who took over could cared less and was a hassle to work with. The coffees weren't as good as some of the cakes, so at the end you need to consider: You pay for...the art and the beauty of the cake, the location and the amount of people and because they can, the service was 50/50, overall it was between average, because it was much better them average but it wasn't very good because of the service and the price you pay. At least it wasn't good enough to say that we have to come back.

We had great expectations when visiting the place, due to its family tradition (it operates as a family business since 1906!) as well as the positive reviews we saw online. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We ordered coffee and three different sweets to eat, none of which was fresh. The sweets looked beautiful but the flavours, though nice, were nothing spectacular. Unfortunately we found the place largely overrated and wouldn't recommend it, especially when considering the rather expensive prices.

I love going to Barcelona, among the things I liked most was to have breakfast in escriba'. Last year I thought it was a coincidence ((it can happen) that things had changed. Instead I had the certainty that something has changed permanently.

It is really a very nice bakery. We have been to Escriba for breakfast. We had very nice croissants and a cheese tart. All of them were really delicious. I am sure their cakes are also delicious, as they were looking great; but, we did not have chance to try them.

This place is legendary according to photos hanging inside.
We went there twice during our last visit to Barna. Staff is very friendly and humorous. Pastries are tremendous. Unfortunately they do not serve granizadas, but a similar drink, something local Catalan is a great and very tasty substitution.
