My husband and I ate here while on vacation in Barcelona. Our dinner was amazing-- definitely the best meal that we ate on vacation. While researching dinner restaurants, I came across another reviewer for this restaurant who said that it was one of the best meals in their life, and I thought that must be an exaggeration, but the food here is really that good. We ordered multiple small plates, so that we could try as much as possible. Nicole is the head chef and Tom does everything else, and we loved hearing their explanation for how they come up with the dishes and bring everything together. They were very nice and spent a lot of time patiently answering questions. We would definitely recommend the Royal Sliders and the grilled octopus with mashed potatoes. After ordering a first round of food, we just asked Nicole and Tom to bring dishes out that they thought we would like until we couldn't eat anymore! The brownie dessert was so good that I really wanted to lick the plate. We didn't leave a crumb on any plate, and I really wish that this restaurant was closer to home.

Very thankful that Sense Seny was recommended to us, our first evening in Barcelona!
Wide variety of choices for tapas, including some very interesting unique "modern twist" options, freshly made (some in front of you :)), and all delicious. We sampled 5 dishes between the two of us, each of them a perfect portion size, tasty, prepared quickly, and very good value for money. Excellent location after sightseeing or shopping. Tomas was our host, very helpful and friendly, and funny. :) Strongly recommend you visiting here when you are in Barcelona, we will definitely be back!

This restaurant was delightful in every way! The service was inviting and so very kind. However, the food was the real MVP! It was delicious! Served hot with each dish having such unique and authentic flavors. It is tapas style so we ordered many different plates. Shrimp and cheddar meatballs, lamb shank, grilled veggies, calamari, and so much more. Prices are great too. Don’t hesitate. Go TODAY! You can thank me later!

We stumbled across this geat wee tapas bar as there was an hour wait at the near by Cerveceria Catalana.
It was an excellent find as the food was delicious, interesting and great value.
The owner came to our table and welcomed us and explained all of the dishes. It was clear he was very passionate and a lot of thought had went into the dishes.
The highlights were the ribs and lamb dishes but everything was brilliant including the char grilled vegetables. The menu isn't huge but everything sounds great and i will return to try the garlic prawns and steak among others.
We had a bottle of Temranillo to accompany the food which was excellent and very good value.
I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to return at some point in the future.

Yesterday, we just happened on this restaurant because it is just feet from the Alexandra hotel where we had just checked in. The food was superb. I love good Manchego cheese, but the artisan manchego cheese plate was the best I have had in decades. We are group of 4 and tried several dishes all were excellent. The manager and part owner i very personable, and when we expressed interest in how he sourced his foods he told how we could attend a local event where we could try wines, cheeses, sausages and so forth from small local producers. We went today and it was great.

I have a gluten allergy, and the chef, Nicole, came out personally to discuss delicious substitutions for me and everything was excellent. Tomas was very friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. We went back the next night to try a few other things and the food was just as good as the first night. We would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Monument Hotel next door and went to the rooftop restaurant which was OK.
However, we should have gone to Sense Seny instead as we did a day later. It was wonderful and relaxed. Great tapas. It seems like we ordered one of everything. Nice wine by the glass. Food was good, service was friendly and relaxed. We could have gone to the Michelin starred restaurant next door but were a little tired of tasting menus and they seemed uptight.
Thank you Sense Seny for a wonderful relaxed night.

The three of us had the menu del dia and eagerly shared around, so I had a good taste of everything: From locally based kitchen to internationally inspired dishes it was all delightful.
On top of that the staff was really friendly and clearly (and rightly so) proud of their product.
So highly recommendable.

Stopped in to eat during our first night in Barcelona as we were staying at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel a couple doors down. Thomas waited on us and was friendly while the food was equally as inviting and delicious! Thomas shared some of the history of the restaurant. We enjoyed the food so much we chose to circle back and stay at the Alexandra Barcelona for our last night just so we could have our final dinner at Sense Seny! We ate here a few times during our two week stay in Spain. I recommend the manchego cheese, salmon tartar, chocolate brownie dessert, mushroom truffles, curry... I guess I will end up naming their whole menu since we pretty much tried everything over our multiple visits! We also had a chance to get to know the owner and he was extremely warm, sweet and insightful! The food is delicious, the price is right and you still get to enjoy your Spanish Tapas with a modern, unique and dare i say - healthy flare! 1000% recommend and will definitely be visiting again next time I am in Barcelona!

This is a must go to spot, we stumbled upon it our first night and then had to return our last night. I will forever dream about the calamari and the mushroom wontons! The chef walks around from table to table talking and serving and couldn’t be more friendly. When we come back to Barcelona this will be our first stop.

We dropped in for a snack on a hot day after a long drive, and were thankful for the warm welcome by the owner in this relaxed, classy and cool place.
Great vibe, great coffee, top quality food prepared with pride, and all at very reasonable prices.
I look forward to returning!

What a wonderful, simple, healthy dinner! The tapas were fresh and flavorful, and different than a typical tapas bar. Dessert and coffee were excellent too. The service was attentive and very pleasant. We hope to go back!

We ordered tapas which came out slowly, one by one and not altogether which was unusual. We ordered huevos rotos, bombas de langostino y queso and canelones de pato. The “bombas” were overcooked, rubbery and seemed to be lacking the cheese (which was in the description), the canalones were very good and the huevos rotos were just ok. The desserts were pretty good. Our server was helpful and friendly.

Wonderful meal last night at Sense Seny. Nicole the chef who also works in the front of the house is talented and friendly. Tommy the waiter is also wonderful. The Romesco sauce was some of the best I have ever had- get the grilled vegetables with the sauce. This is a must go to !

Great little restaurant just off Passieg de Gracia. Modern interior and modern style to their tapas. All dishes we picked were delicious, especially the French fry style potatoes with egg and jamon. Other son has a steak which was delicious and cooked out on the grill in the restaurant itself. Interior was great with a real funky red bar area where you could sit and eat. Staff great, friendly and service was at a great pace for tapas! Would recommend to anyone.
