My wife and I found our way here after she had read glowing reviews, and they all proved true. The hot chocolates and churros were indescribably good, and because we were there early in the day, we had the opportunity to chat with the owner, who was friendly and personable and told us much about Barcelona and Spain. All in all, one of the nicest experiences we had on an altogether marvelous trip.

we were lucky to be staying close by so went twice in our 4 days in Barcelona.
The hot chocolate that comes with the churros is so delicious. The Churros are nice and not too sweet so it is a perfect combination.
I didn't try any other cafes for churros so I can't compare but I'd recommend this cafe!
staff are really nice
we also bought some chocolates to take back for family, those are nice too.

My daughter and I really enjoyed it there. The churros were (mostly) delicious and the chocolate was incredibly tasty 😋!!!
It was our regular café and we went there every day.
The 'waiter' Monday to Friday is super friendly and offers great service. We felt more than comfortable all round
The music in the background was just great - real coffee house atmosphere

We went to this place to try the churros con chocolate specialty. The waitress told us the price was €4.50 each. We ended up paying €12.35 which wasn’t the price we were announced, which already was disappointing. But not only the price was wrong, we were really disappointed by the quality of the churros themselves which didn’t taste like fresh churros at all. The chocolate however was really good.
The front of the store is really nice, but my bet that’s all there is to it. A nice place meant to attract tourists above anything else.

We were first introduced to Petritxol while on a Tapas food tour (I am now a huge fan of food tours), and our guide was able to get us a nice table in the back to try some of the churros and chocolate with whip cream. Quite honestly the highlight of the night. Good service and a very charming look helped but also the out of the way location was perfect.

Incredibly friendly service, very tasty delicacies and also gluten-free specialties on offer.
The café is inconspicuously located in a small side street, has pleasant background music and is very clean. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide told us her grandmother used to visit this cafe with her grandmother when she was a little girl living in Barcelona so we had to come back for hot chocolate and churros. We found our way back to this narrow street after our tour and enjoying some afternoon sweets. It was fabulous and perfect!

Stopped here after it kept appearing in recommendations, and seeing as though both me and my husband are huge chocoholics, I felt we couldn't miss this on our last day in Barcelona!
Very busy little chocolate cafe, however the cafe opens up at the back into a bigger seating area, so is quite deceiving at first. We had the whole back place to ourselves which was nice.
We ordered the traditional thick hot chocolate (which is used for dipping) and both got a nutella cookie, which was so thick! It became quite sickly towards the end, but to be expected - we should have shared! There was so much I could have ordered here as it all looked delicious!
The staff were really helpful on their menu etc.
Would recommend!

Came to this place attracted to the nice display at the window asked for hot chocolate and churros for start but the churros did not taste nice either the hot chocolate. I ordered a coffee ☕️ declive to try anything else. Service was nice .

Our small group was searching in the Gothic quarter during our trip to Barcelona for some sweet treats, originally we were going to a cafe down the street however it was closed, so we popped in here instead. We didn't regret the visit, we had churros with hot chocolate to dip, Crema Catalana and another small pastry all were delicious. Service was quick and all the staff were friendly and we're fine with our very poor Spanish. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Very good churros and hot chocolate in a simple xurreria on the famous hidden alley of churros (Carrer de Petritxol). Churros we’re tasty, not overly sweet, but hot chocolate was perfect. About 6€ for 4 churros and the chocolate. Very fast friendly service. Would definitely snack here again!

It's headed in a small street but try to find it!
It has very good choices for a cheating.
Hot rich chocolate with churros to put inside, brownies with banana and apple pie it was some of these we tried.
All were super delicious.
The place was cozy with good service.

I've been there thrice for their churros and chocolate. The churros were hot and the chocolate was thick and generous. Not too sweet. Generally the service is quick except one time I waited longer than usual, probably because the churros were still being fried. Quite affordable.

During a walking tour with a local she told us of the street this cafe was on, as it had lots of places to try churros, which we had been dying to try! Unfortunately the time we arrived the cafe we planned on going to was closed for siesta so we stumbled upon this place. We were so excited when our churros and chocolate were set down as they looked amazing however when we tried we found the churros to be stale, they definitely had not been made fresh and I would be surprised if they had even been made that day. They were not crisp at all, and I couldn’t eat them. The chocolate was nice and the two coffees we had were ok too. Such a shame.

Outstanding xurreria where you can enjoy the guilty pleasure of dipping you churros in hot chocolate sauce that is so tick you can almost put a spoon upright in it. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is really cozy. Lovely place!
