There is a lovely old wine shop in one door, and a small, unpretentious tapas bar through the other. The bar serves very fresh seafood, including prawns in salt, as well as fried octopus. The usual tapas fare of tortilla, bombas and patatas bravas are also available, and very tasty. As one might expect given the fantastic bodega next door,... More

We've eaten here three times now and I really would have liked to have kept it secret ! We like the owners and have always had fantastic tapas here. Very small with a wine shop next door too. Forty Euros for five dishes and some beer, I'd say mid-price ?

Is it any special? No. It's perfectly regular place and food. The point is there is less and less such wonderfully regular places. Even here in Barcelona. La Pubilla del Taulat offers the best of Barcelona's tapas. Small, hidden, friendly place. Nice, easy, slow food and people just 1 min from Rambla de Poble Nou. Good to step out of... More

We went to this small bar in our neighborhood expecting good homemade food at a good price... The food is very good but you can expect paying the full price for this quality... We had to wait for a while as the place was crowded. The service was fast and the staff (and the old lady in charge) was considerate.

This small little place (about 10 tables) was full…just as we arrived one of the two small raised tables outside became available. Everything seemed like a synchronized chaos: the staff were nice, but seemed overwhelmed and disjointed. The open kitchen inside was a small, busy theatre of turmoil. Everything was very clean, but yet seemed like a sweaty mess. And... More

I had wandered by here on my first night this year in Poble Nou. The quaint decor and local ambience told me that I had to give it a go. My wife can be a little reluctant if the place does not look pristine on first impressions. To be honest we wandered in and decided to try a tapas or... More

So I have walked past here a million times and last week we finally went in to sit down. All in all it was an enjoyable experience, but some of that may be down to the 2 bottles of wine that we cleared off during the meal. The tapas is good, they are all very fresh and high quality so... More

This place is simply amazing and an experience beyond which words can describe. It starts with impressions. A small corner restaurant which defines cozy. A dedicated repeat customer base which is both local and international and owners who make you feel as though you are in their living room and they are happy to have you. there A truly not... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
