I was intrigued by the appearance of the restaurant so decided to give it a try...and was very glad I did. Wonderful food, friendly and thoughtful service, lovely atmosphere. I returned multiple times during my stay in Barcelona and was always delighted!

In terms of food nothing can be said but it took us more than 30 minutes to place an order between main course and desert. Surprisingly, the staff lost interest in us after we tried to extend our order by one more dish.. Obviously, they did not like the additional business. Sad after the great start we had with a... We ate here on the first night of our stay in the hotel it is part of. We were shown to a table straight away and the waiter talked us through the menu, which although tapas, its not the usual everyday fare you get elsewhere. My favourite was the calamari croquettes which were crispy and black on the inside and... More

Others have already mentioned the great gastronomical tapas, so I will not belabor the point here. Instead, I'll focus on the staff and dessert. First of all, thank you La Plasshola for being so accommodating. Our waiter offered us very accurate predictions on what tapas our daughter would enjoy whilst also giving us good recommendations on dishes more challenging to... More

The restaurant is located in the Gothic Quarter, on the first floor of a five-star hotel. The kitchen is excellent, the wines are matched with appropriate ones. I liked the set of tapas!

A few of my friends and I enjoyed drinks and tapas here. Location is very good, right in the city near the Gothic Quarter so lots of shops around. The food was good and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed ham, cheese, tacos, calamari, prawn ceviche, all good! I would definitely recommend to others.

We had lovely food and great wine, started with a GT. We enjoyed that the waiters sensed how much they should "disturb" us. Nice and cosy place that we give our best recommendations:)

Gastronomical tapas ***** (la plassohla) This restaurant is part of a hotel near to the historical centre of Barcelona. It is the second time we come here and once again, we were not at all disappointed. They suggested a lunch menu to share between two people, comprising 6 tapas and a desert. We had, amongst others, a creamy shrimp salad,... More

We had a really nice, low key but delicious dinner here. The restaurant has a tapas format and tasting menu some of the time. Sunday evening they had about an hour of live jazz. For dinner, the suckling pig was amazing--not something I would ordinarily have selected! Don't hesitate to ask the server for suggestions!
