We stumbled upon this place while searchng the area. We came in and it looked like your typical British Pub (except it was in Spain). We bellyed up to the bar ordered a couple pints. Beers were ice cold, fresh and the service was great. We noticed that there was a sign up that said they served English Breakfast! We... More

Went one Saturday to watch the rugby. Slow service, awful Guinness and very expensive; The Triple Crown I suppose. Never again.

We visited the Philharmonic again this visit as last year we were made so welcome and quickly became locals! The staff (Danny, Jackie and Becky) are brilliant, the food amazing and the atmosphere electric! anyone that goes to Barcelona needs to visit the Philharmonic i couldn't recommend a better place.

I came here for the pub quiz with a group of friends. The guy presenting the quiz did a great job, and the quiz was good fun. However, some of the drinks seemed quite expensive and the wait staff were rude. (When we needed change, the waitress walked away from the table mid-conversation because we couldn't provide exact change. She... More

Sometimes you just want to be reminded of home, have good wholesome food, in a place with like minded people and The Philharmonic has this. Daniel, the bar tender was helpful, good host and made the evening really pleasant. We went early on the 3rd, place a little quiet but then this is Barcelona, too early for the locals.

We were staying round the corner from here and visited twice. Even though was quiet there was a nice atmosphere to the place. The spirit measures were huge as well I ordered rum and coke and the glass was half full of rum. Needless to say I only had a few! Music was a music video channel on TVs around... More

This is a very climatic place when you can enjoy fine selection of tasty beers. What is more they organize a pub quiz (in English) where you can win actual money!!! It is a lot of fun and definitely if you like challenges this event is for you!

Visited here on Easter weekend, offering Sunday lunch as it was close to hotel, we popped in, we were only ones in, service was OK, food came out quickly, was an average roast dinner that would be served in pub in Britain.

I went to The Philharmonic with a group of about seven to watch a game. The service was excruciatingly slow (they should have known they were going to be busy) and the server did not seem to even want to work that day - she certianly didn't want to serve us. We had to ask other staff for help when... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
