Hungover on a Sunday, inevitable in Barcelona, we heard about the brunch and wanted to try it. Waited out front with other sleepy people untill we figured out that you have to give your name, staff are as mentioned in another review not very forthcoming and even a little arrogant. Once inside, the food was fabulous, it has to be... More

Just off of La Rambla. Small restaurant, but good food. For lunch, I had French toast, which was thick bread and very tasty. My wife had an English Breakfast dish. Both were very good. A trendy type menu. I would definitely visit them again.

I just wanted something light before visiting MACBA (contemporary art gallery) and was attracted to Caravelle by its trendy-looking appearance. Service was a bit distracted after ordering my coffee and poached eggs and I had to finally get up to go to the counter to pay. The food was delicious and beautifully-presented. The WiFi didn't work and the server didn't... More

For all of us - people who love a good brunch it is an absolute MUST!!! Little lovely quirky place in one of the small streets in the city centre! Strange to describe food as beautiful but it is. Expect a queue when you arrive, also you need to register your name at the door, do this as soon as you arrive and they write it on the glass. They aren't forthcoming about this, very annoying. Food is great, ok value, service fast but slow for the bill.

This restaurant was a great experience for the family, the food was delicious and the whole environment was very friendly. The smashed avocado with poached eggs was a delight and " The full Spanglish" was excellent as well. If your going for something more healthy, the home made granola was great.

Went for brunch with the family, nad we all loved the place, the service and food - the best coffee in Barcelona!!! The prices was quite fair, as the quality is good. Certainly a café worth viciting more than once time. Highly recommended.....

Was looking forward to this but upon arrival was greeted by indifferent underwhelmed staff. Had the French toast which was meh compared to other places I've been to in barcelona .there was just a lack of passion which is unfortunate given the reviews that made me look forward to this. No wifi..

Hipster paradise I suppose. The tuna was cut in big pieces and tossed with lots of raw veggies, without any noticeable sauce or dressing. Sauceless, dull fried chicken. The potentially tasty burger was Mini-me size. Pretentious service.

Amazing and welcoming staff. The beer is made locally and is refreshingly tasty and unique. Try the tacos!

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
