Swagatam has always been a preferred place for all my friends. Not just because of the great hospitality but also the food. I have been to a few Indian restaurants this is the best so far

Me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant for the first time out of curiosity and it was the best decision. Good food and the waiter made us laugh a lot. The mint chutney was delicious that the waiter gave us cuz we wanted to try something spicy. All in one it was a great evening for us.

One of the bestest Indian restaurant in Barcelona. The owner (Mr. Pratap singh) is very nice and makes us feel like as if we are with our own family. Great food and great service. What else do we need. Totally recommended.

We were regulars at this restaurant although hadn't been for awhile. I myself have always thought that their produce lack in quality especially the meat. The last straw was when i ordered naans as take-away and walked half hour to go and get them, they made a mistake and gave me onion fritters. It was for a dinner party at... More

It was fitting to (once again) eat at one of our favourite Indian restaurants in Barcelona and in our neighbourhood -- Swagatam. We enjoyed the mutton korma and chicken korma and the homemade naans were excellent, as always. The service is impeccable and so personal. It feels like visiting one's family for a meal. I am happy to have introduced... More

The winter made us to take extra portion even though it wasn't necessary. It felt like he just want to sell. It is not real Indian flavors. Atmosphere horrible . Not recommend at all!:(:(:(

Bohut acha! We came in and were greeted by a friendly host/owner. The food was excellent. We had the chicken korma, paneer and samosas. Overall, highly recommended and close to all the sights in Eixample and several hotels.

We read about this place so called by. We nearly didn't go in as was a small cafe with plastic tables and chairs retro pictures and pale yellow walls. Really glad we did go in though. After lots of Tapas this was a tasty welcome change. Cost €100 for 4 of us with 2 rounds of drinks and starters. The... More

Simple place without indian feel to it. Food without indian taste. We did not eat all and the owner (?) made comments about it!

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
