We ate at the bar, which was really fun. Got to watch the chefs prepare all the dishes as they came up to the pass. Service was great throughout, very attentive and friendly. We both ordered the Menu Caelis Premium. Basically, 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert and unlimited white and red wine for 58 euros each. Given the quality of the food, a fantastic deal. We started with some amuse bouche - a tomato stuffed with white vermouth, an olive stuffed with oil and anchovies and a little pizza like item, all really nice and a sign of things to come. Then they brought out with bread with 3 types of flavored butter - olive, tomato and basil. The basil was our favorite. The starter was carrot, orange and cuppuccino foam soup with crudités, really enjoyed it. My wife had the artichoke salad with ricotta, also really nicely presented and tasty. Mains were a sea bass with little potato morsels and green peppers, the dish of the night. Fish was melt in your mouth and mellow and the tarragon sauce complemented it amazingly. Next was beef with onions and potatoes, tender and smoky beef, nicely cooked. For pudding, a selection of cheeses which were great. There was a Catalan one in there that was not for the front of heart. Lots of wine during the meal, both red and white were light and fruity, not too heavy at all, went nicely with the food. Overall, immensely enjoyable and will certainly be back. Recommended for lunch, I imagine their tasting menu is amazing.

Had dinner here with 2 couples and we took the land and sea menu for 105 EUR and accompanying wines for 60 EUR. The restaurant is situated in Hotel Ohla and, besides being very stylish and nicely decorated, has a good vibe. We also liked the quality of the service and sense of humor of the sommelier. The most important thing, the food, was excellent, with a lot of different tastes and a lot of creativity. The pace at which the different courses were served was perhaps a bit too high but we flagged it and they slowed down which made it more enjoyable for us. I would love to come again one day.

We went to Caelis to celebrate our anniversary. When we booked the restaurant our expectations were high. We’ve read positive reviews and they were awarded one Michelin star. We reserved a place at the chefs table (overlooking the kitchen) and were excited for the night. However, our experience did not quite live up to the expectations. As soon as we arrived, we felt very rushed. The personnel did not give us much personal attention and multiple times, the next dish was already served while we were not even finished with the dish before. On top of that, we ordered a menu with wine pairing, but we received the same wine twice (so for 4 dishes we had a total of two different wines) and besides that we did get very little explanation about each wine and for no wine it was told why it matched the dish we were eating, which was very disappointing as we were expecting more from a Michelin starred restaurant. Regarding the food, it was good, but not as good as we had in other starred restaurants. Then lastly, when we received the bill, it was the wrong one, charging us with a more expensive menu that we did not have. It all felt quite chaotic and we left the restaurant a little bit disappointed.

We went to this well-known restaurant with a Michelin star. The experience was so grateful and we really enjoyed everything, not only the food but also de atmosphere and the open kitchen. We were sat in front of the kitchen as we enjoy watching how the chefs prepares all the dishes. It was an amazing show, with minacious preparations. Not many words were needed between them in order to know what to do. The menu was large and composed by different small dishes, all of them were incredibly good and tasty with a great presentation. The whole experience was brilliant.

I was looking to end our 2-week lacation in Portugal/Spain with a bang – and I found the perfect place in Caelis! The meal was paced very well for all the amuses bouches and courses that we had coming our way on the Land and Sea Menu. The food was creative, as were the platings! We did the wine pairing and enjoyed our very enthusiastic and knowledgeable sommelier who matched the wines perfectly with the food. Having eaten a few days earlier at a Michelin 2-star, we were actually happier with Caelis – the atmosphere was relaxed, not stuffy. And though we were fed well, we were not stuffed and uncomfortable when we left the table. And we found it to be a great value for all the food/wine. Best of all – Caelis was in our hotel! If I can get back myself back to Barcelona, I will definitely eat here again!

It was my daughter's first experience with a Michelin Star restaurant, and it was a great experience. We opted for the 55 euro per person menu, which included a choice of two appetizers, a choice of two entrees, and a choice of sweet dessert or cheese plate. Coffee, water, and a glass of wine were also included, which was very generous. We upgraded to the 70 euro per person menu, which allowed us to pick 3 out of the 4 dishes on offer, plus a second glass of wine. (They pour half of the glass twice, so it's about one glass by volume). But thinking about it, we may not have needed that, as we couldn't finish two entrees. Maybe we should've selected two appetizers and one entree instead. The appetizer of tuna tartar was amazing, but the two entrees were just good, nothing to write home about, but both were very generous in portions. We reserved early enough to sit at the counter watching the kitchen staff preparing the food. It was quite enjoyable. Overall, a very good experience. Kudos to the kitchen staff, and we were glad to take some photos with them afterward. We stayed for 3 hours, and it didn't feel like it at all. The only thing I would suggest is for the red wine not to be served at room temperature, as the kitchen definitely wasn't cellar temperature.

Caelis is a gastronomic restaurant located in Ohla Hotel in the center of Barcelona, the main city in Catalonia. In fact, it is a very nice and modern place, where you are very comfortable during all lunch/dinner. I came here with a friend to taste a gastronomic menu, which was excellent and we drank a wonderful staff recommendation. Really, an excellent place to enjoy with food and wine. Also, after lunch, it is possible to go up to the upper terrace, from where you can enjoy a lot with the fantastic views of Barcelona. On the other hand, we began he menu at 15h due to work reasons, and waiters were too fast (they wanted finish fastly). I hope next time, they improve this point.

This Michelin restaurant is worth 3 stars. Every dish was a celebration of good taste and earthly delights. The staff, the experience, the joy of it is impossible to describe. A MUST, if you are the Best Food connoisseur. Loved it! Enjoyed it! Had an evening of unparalleled pleasure!

Lunch on the first day of the year. Enjoyed watching the chefs at work at this beautifully decorated⭐️one-starred Michelin restaurant; meticulously prepping every mouth-watering dish from the 11-course New Year’s day tasting menu. I would highly recommend to get a seat by the bar and be entertained while waiting for each plate to be ready. The tasting menu was nicely paired with both wine and red wines. Like other tasting menus, expect to enjoy the experience in no less than two hours.

A Barcelona birthday dinner encompassing both vegetarian tasting menus as well as Earth and Sea tasting menus accompanied by unique wine pairings decidedly did not disappoint to say the least. Caelis offers up unique and creative extraordinarily brilliant cuisine served-up in an inspiring atmosphere coupled with outstanding servicing. Its Michelin Star is well deserved and earned.

We were staying in the hotel so decided that our last meal should be at the caelis. All I can say is that it deserves its one star and more. Putting it in context, we recently ate at the two star hand and flowers and this was significantly better on every front. We were escorted to the restaurant and sat down immediately. The sommelier took us through the wines and helped select for us both. His choices were spot on! The bread was out of this world with three different butters (sage, olive and tomato) all of which tasted amazing. We went for the celebration tasting menu and from start to end it was flawless. Some great theatre and the flavours were exquisite. From the vermouth bombon to the sweetbreads and cheese everything was a delight. Two standouts for me were the eel and the cuttlefish. We were dreading them but they were brilliant. The serving staff were attentive, polite, friendly and very efficient. We were in the restaurant 3 hours for the whole meal and it was so relaxing and comfortable. Don't get me wrong it's not a cheap ear, but we'll worth the price and we would go back tomorrow if we could, we loved it

Im living in Barcelona and I currently sample all the good local restaurants. So far been to Cinq Sentis, Disfrutar, Uma, Con Garcia and yesterday Caelis. Service. 5 stars. Nice attending waiters, very helpful. Located at the bar with visibility to the "factory". Food. 4 stars (food vs price only 1,5 star) I opted for the large menu (I believe its called Menu Celibration). Somewhat disappointed, several dishes were with linited taste. Sea urchin, dill and caviar (sea urchin has a very special taste, not for me), Sea cucumber carbonara (very nice and tasty). Roasted leek in charcoal, green sauce and caviar (ok), Pees from Maresme, crayfish sauce (limited taste - disappointment), King Crab grilled, béarnaise sauce and pistachios (too heavy sauce), Macaroni “surf and turf”, lobster and artichokes, in two services (fine), Grilled sea bream (very chewy) bouillabaisse sauce (dont recall), Crusted beef in vines ashes (no taste). 2 desserts were no good and and cheese was very limited. hmnnn. Wine pairing, 4 star (vs costs of €70, however only 2 stars. sommelier knew his wines, whereas food presentation was very liited, then wine paring had extensive presentation (sometimes too many details). mainy Spanish, 2 french . overall ok, nothing special. Overall. 4 star, however vs total costs of €215 for 1 person, I will only rate it 2 stars. Of teh 5 restaurants visited so far, this is at teh bottom.

We were sat by the kitchen bar, and both of us ordered the full vegetarian tasting menu. Best European vegetarian menu and spread that we experienced in Europe. The liquid Olive was an impressive beginning to what followed to be an unforgettable culinary experience. All while watching the busy but elegant manic kitchen. No pressure! The cauliflower caviar was glorious. Everything from the white asparagus and it's soup, celery risotto as well as the wonderfully stewed leeks created a beautiful symphony. The dessert began with very palatable chessboard, followed by a featherlite chocolate souffle and sorbet and ended with a delightful medley of berries with Ice cream and cider foam. Hats off the the chef! Food was paired with a Rosé champagne and that completed the luncheon. We were whisked off to the rooftop bar to enjoy our coffee as well as a view of the old and new Barcelona. Definitely visiting soon again and this time to repeat the veggie menu or try their celebration tasting menu.

Really enjoyed the Earth & Sea tasting menu. Excellent food and great first class service. It’s not cheap, £300, for two, but that was including a good bottle of wine and service (which is not added automatically) and there are something like 15/16 courses of great quality, well presented food. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return next time we are in Barcelona.
