Great food, amazing service, lovely wines. Would thoroughly recommend. We had a fantastic evening here. The staff were knowledgeable without being patronising. Great atmosphere and beautiful food. A truly unforgettable evening.

The restaurant is very small, about ten tables and very understated. The menu is a tasting menu with two options--a more traditional Catalonian menu and a more nouvelle cuisine menu. Every tiny morsel exploded with flavor. The meal itself was worth every penny, but the service was not up to the food and a bit snooty. We did do the wine... More

We had the Sensacions tasting menu without the wine pairing. The food was executed beautifully and I found it to be imaginative and absolutely delicious - it is clear why they have a Michelin star. The staff were very attentive without being in the way. The advice we got on the wine was top notch. The room seats a small... More

The restaurant, eventhough is quite bare and modern still felt quite comfortable with the dim lighting. We took the tasting menu Sensacions and the wine pairing.First we were given some small appetizers like an olive stuffed with garlic and citrus dressing, a modern take on "pa amb tomaquet", something with bacala, and one more thing. Then came a shot of... More

Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Food was interesting & well executed. Especially loved the maple syrup shooter. One dish included lettuce, which was unbelievable. Can't understand how you can get such a flavour from lettuce! Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Staff spoke very good english, which is just as well given my lack of spanish. Having eaten in many... More

A small and discreet place with aka host of servers willing to please. The restaurant is a family concern, and even the Mum still works there it seems. The several dishes were gracefully served and generally each course was well prepared and tasty. There were a couple of odd tasting, odd texture dishes but mainly the 4 of us really... More

Absolutely amazing food - each course an experience, while not neglecting the taste buds. Wonderful use of local, slow food ingredients. Just an amazing treat. Service is lovely, not stuffy at all. Try the D'Argent Cava - bubbles don't count in the end.

I enjoyed a solo lunch at Cinc Sentits in early September. I was nervous to dine alone, but no worries, the service was excellent and they really made me feel very welcome. My lunch cost 200 euros, I had the Spanish wine pairing and left a great tip. I loved it. Every course was a surprise and they did a... More

Very pretentious, nice decor, food in the copy El Bulli mode, 8 courses 79 euros, the highlight for me brussel sprouts or should I say 6 leaves. Certainly not my style, I can understand it makes a change from the Barcelona big plates big amounts of food on the plate, but I will stick with the real food option.

This is a great dinning place both for excellent food quality and wine pairing. It was even more special for us because we had our valentine celebration there. The selection by the chief is excellent, we love every dish from starter to dessert, it is an experience hard to forget.

Description
Awarded a Michelin star since 2008, and rated #1 for food in Barcelona by Zagat, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artal's playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers, and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal tasting menu, letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. There is a 6-course and a shorter 4-course version of the menu, both available with an optional wine pairing. All this, plus professional yet friendly multilingual service in a modern setting.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
