A must try if you're in the old town. Best tapes in the area and don't miss the special drink called xampanyet...between cava and sparkling wine ..! If you've read Carlos Ruiz Zafon's : shadow of the wind, you'll recognise the place!

Here's how you do it: Have cava at the bar while you wait for a table. It might seem like chaos, but the staff seems to know exactly who came first. Be patient. Enjoy the atmosphere and look at plates of delicious tapas going to all the tables. Once you are seated, let the staff know what you like, and... More

One problem in this place..it's small. The waitress wasn't very gentle... but I can understand that it's not simple to manage many people in a such place. Pay attention because is not a cheap tapas bar. I suggest anchovy ...they are very delicious and most of all tapas are in the middle quality-range

Rick Steves recommended this place and we are so glad he did. A few doors down from Picasso museum. It's a bit intimidating upon arrival-- packed with locals-- so either stand and point to what you want to eat from tapas bar, or try to grab a waiter, or wait for a tiny table and grab it-- we lucked out... Went there on a recommendation from our hotel concierge. We had no idea of the customs of a real (non-tourist!) tapas bar, but the manager took pity on us and kept his eyes open for a couple of seats. Even though it was busy, we were seated within 10 mins and were lucky enough to have a great waiter from... More

This place couldn't get any better. Is a small traditional tapas bar. Located at the Born next to La Catedral Del Mar. Everything on the menu is spectacular, the pinxos, tapas, ham, cheese, combined with a cava from the house Great atmosphere. You can't miss it

This is a well known and historic tapas bar. Jovial atmosphere filled with local and global imbiber. There are table and with patience one can get a table even during busy times. Enjoy local wines and brews.

Queue at the door but luckily got a seat. Tapas was very nice. Place filled up immediately and we were surrounded by hungry people eyeing our seats! Service was quick and attentive in spite of all this, and made some good recommendations.

This is a noisy, crowded, bar with great cava and fabulous tapas. Don't miss this experience in Barcelona! The wait staff is great and will take great care of you if you are a tapas novice. It is worth a wait for the whole experience. Loved it!

Cannot praise this place enough. Went there for dinner; although it was packed, we were able to get a table within 5-10 minutes of arriving. The waitress was extremely helpful; she described the menu in English. Highlights include the pintxos, hot pasta and vegetarian chickpeas.
