Friends of ours recommended the place, and although we had no doubt as to the quality of the food, given their appreciation for good restaurants, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We went there with two young children (2 & 4), and it took...More

This is a long time favorite of mine in Barcelona - simple and perfect seafood. Not pretentious yet comfortable in its own skin - knows that they serve beautifully sourced and excuted seafood - presented by wonderful staff that are well trained and entrenched. Really...More

The only way to locate this restaurant is by its address, the number 2 above the door on the street. It's a charming spot inside, with lots of activity from the bustling black-tied waiters who immediately greet diners by opening a half bottle of (complimentary)...More

The entrance is not very visible through a narrow corridor, like an old speakeasy. But once inside the place you can enjoy a festival of tastes, most of them fresh fish and seafood. Not cheap but worth to go.

A small door with no sign outside doesn’t exactly capture the attention but as soon as you sit down, the food starts coming and Oh Wow! This place doesn’t disappoint - numerous courses, each a simple yet flavorful plate of the best ingredient, treated with...More

My husband and I had an incredible dinner filled with the most wonderful selection of seafood and Spanish specialities including wine. Our meal included oysters, clams, sea urchins, tiny baby hake and snapper, different prawns in a salty delicious crust and seabass and baby goat....More

It was part of our honeymoon experiences. A Hidden Gem, passed it several times and until we asked a local merchant, we found it! We were greeted by the amazing aroma of Spanish cooking...not overwhelmed. The ambiance was warm, with the structures of 200+ year...More

We patronised this restaurant 5 years ago when it was in its prime and we have since recommended it to all our friends from Asia. This time we made a special effort of returning for old time sake but its standard has fallen off the...More

Nice servants, no menu, yiu just start with a cava «on the house» and continue with reccomended wine (or something else) and are served 7 to 8 different very good starters/tapas , and are offered alternative main courses - if you manage. Interesting idea, popular...More

If you are into seafood, this is a place to visit in beautiful Barcelona. Their seafood selection is probably one of the best in the world. Outstanding service, fantastic food. This is a place you visit once and you will remember forever!

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I would say that it is definitely not cheap, but is a good restaurant. Whether it is good 'value for money' it is arguable, and depends on your expectation and perception having visited. Personally, I probably would only... More

While the food served at this restaurant is heavy on shellfish, I am sure they will work with you if you are patient and communicate effectively. Worst case, your husband will pass on one or two of the 9 courses!
