I had a sensational time at this very affordable, traditional tapas bar in Barcelona. Be prepared that this is a small restaurant with standing room only. I think that you will have to be prepared to wait to order and maybe even have to wait outside for a while. My brother and I were given a spot right by the... More

Went after we visited the Monjuic area. Lovely little joint - no seats and you have to stand around in the area and it adds to the vibe. Lost count of bottles of wine that they have which is amazing! Delicious tapas and wine - would definitely recommend this place frequented by locals!

Great selection of beers wines and spirits. We loved the tapas eating up at the bar. Service very efficient. Recommended to try Smoked salmon and cheese Pork Belly wow Artichoke and cheese!!! Tried tostada beer, vermouth and pink cava. Next time I'm going to get separate glasses!!! Do go seek it out. It's worth it!!

We have been in Spain for 1 and a half weeks, and this was THE best tapas we have had. The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced. Tapas and excellent sangria were reasonally priced. Great service as well. We went there 4 times in 2 days haha :P

Best tapas you should try in Barcelona, it's a cute place but quite small, has no place to sit but stand. Must order: Salmon, Shrimp!!!

To say quaint is cliche but true. The staff was most helpful and friendly. Food A+. While we ate a small group of musicians wondered in , played a few songs and left.... must hapen often no one was surprised. If you want to experience the culture....go to Quimet and Quimet

Incredible and creative tapas - a wide selection in a case in front you to choose from, and an extensive drink menu including take away bottles of wine and liquors. Great owners and staff, impressive how they juggle the crowd and orders, they also generously offered tastes of unusual items. Had wonderful picnic prepared with wine and locally made vermouth... I am not a big Trip Advisor reviewer, but when I experience something really good -- I'm more inclined to say something about it. this place was so yummy! And - bonus - it happened to be around the corner from where we stayed. Every item we ordered was great (minus the olives - they were kind of boring).. At... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
