Although it is not anymore what it used to be 20 yers ago, this restaurant still offers nice Catalan food and it is not tourist oriented. Mainly locals are visiting this pleace. Note sometimes it can be quite quiet, especially in the middle of the week.

We ordered from the menu degustation,- the most expensive option selected principally for the desserts. After two ok-ish dishes followed by a plate of grey coloured meats that I could´t bring myself to try, the brusk waiter told us that the desserts were unavailable, he offered in its place a piece of fruit or a yoghurt. When I asked why... More

This restaurant's menú is pretty simple: grilled meat. Try the typical Catalan sausage, butifarra. Carn a la brasa is lamb chops, which are expensive but worth it if you like that sort of thing. They have other traditional Catalan dishes; ask the waiter. It's popular in the neighborhood. The prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Not a good... More

I haven't been there for a while, but some foreign friends wanted to taste "Spanish food" so we ended up there. Nice bread (hardly found in Barcelona), tasty "patates al caliu" and octopus. Maybe I've tasted better Spanish cured ham, but "pimientos del padrón" and "huevos estrellados" were so yummy! We also had a nice Verdejo (Perro verde). Only 20€... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
