Be prepared to queue and wait for a table - this restaurant is very busy, and for good cause. This family run business offers homely spanish cooking in a rather hectic eatery but that's all part of the fun. The 'Patron' runs a tight ship...More

By far my favorite place in la Barcelonetta. It's one of those hidden gem with an authentic Spanish food. The service crew is nice and also authentic. I recommend their classic tapas "la Bombas". The chipirones is a classic too !

I really enjoyed this place right near Barceloneta's metro station, and near to the beach. It's a simple place, very typical, without pretensions To be fancy or cool. It's just a nice spot to eat good traditional food without secrets. We ordered sangria (which is...More

Simple, traditional and tasty. Everything looks fresh, typical local food including mainly seafood specialities (you are just few steps from the see in the quarter which was formerly fishermen village) but also sausages, bombas (worth trying, some people believe one of the best in the...More

Excellent evening at La Bombeta. The staff were wonderful and the food was simply excellent. Only just off the main harbour strip, the locals were queuing out the door and it's reasonably priced. What more could you want?!

These guys confidently serve up some classic Catalan dishes that are loved by all patrons - visiting and local. The Bombas MUST be tried (2 large rolls per order so dont overdo it) and their seafood offerings are outstanding (and simply prepared). They only take...More

There are tonnes of resturants in Barcelona offering both tapas and sangria but something about this place is really special. The ingredients are wonderfully fresh, the dishes are delicious and the staff are funny! The atmosphere is typically chilled and Spanish and the decor is...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
