After enjoying Barcelona's wonderful tapas, pinxos and montadas, we wanted a more traditional dinner. Some folks we asked in the area recommended this place, and we were very happy. Even though we are not vegetarians, we kept talking about how perfect this place would be for our vegetarian friends. After some veggie apps, we enjoyed a fabulous duck breast and... More

This restaurant was packed when we went there for lunch. I don't have a problem with full restaurants but there was something hectic about this place. If its busy but you feel like a nice chilled lunch avoid this restaurant. Seemed the waiters just wanted to do the bare minimum. For example the would take your order but you had... More

I was in Barcelona with a group of friends for New Year's Eve and we were treated to probably the best New Year's Eve dinner yet. We were in a group from a program for people with autism, but I have a very sophisticated palette for someone with autism. The view of the city was beautiful, especially with all the... More

Wonderful restaurant, with friendly helpful staff and excellent choices on the extensive menu. The restaurant is large and gives all customers lots of space. My first trip to Spain and the food here is wonderful. I love the Coca bread and their home made apple pie with lots of nuts

We came searching for an actual dinner (not tapas), but not outrageously priced...and we found it! We got full meals and all the sangria we could drink for $26 (euro)...which we easily paid for tapas and 1 drink each!!! The food was good, not extravagant, I'd say it's probably an average restaurant for locals...I'm pretty sure we were the only... More

Walked past this restaurant and saw how nice it looked so decided to book a table for this evening. Big mistake! We were shown to a table which had badly torn seats, not a great start. The waitress even got our drinks order wrong; I never order sparkling water, but that's what I got. Unfortunately, her English was poor. My... More

This place is big although it doesnt seem so from the outside. It has a great staff with friendly waiters. Always good for a nice Spanish meal and some fine wine. Or take the T-bone for two persons, its tasty and juicy!!

We got two identical dishes with entrecote. But one of them was a beef. We called the waitress but she didnt agree with us and called for her boss. He claimed that beef and entrecote is the same part and then they both left the table without futher diskussion. After that the waitress totaly ignored us looking the other way... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
